"A very average cigar"

Review Notes: Okay, I have to admit, I didn't age this in the humidor and I have one left to let age for six months for a repeat try. This is one beautiful cigar in appearance but appearances can fool you. I don't talk about prelight because it's the lit cigar that makes it or breaks it. The first one-fourth was a bit harsh, and I like mild to medium cigars. After a little while it mellowed out into a somewhat mild cigar. It wasn't quite a mild flavorful cigar, it was more of a lesser cousin of of that. It just seemed to have a cheap funky taste. I'll wait for the other one to age a bit and try to see if this cigar rates over a 6 rating.

Review Notes: One more time, "IF YOU BUY A CIGAR YOU KNOW IS MILD, WHY ARE YOU TAKING AWAY FLAVOR POINTS FOR BEING MILD?? Try to judge it for what it is ... a mild cigar. I think if you do you will rate the 5 Vegas Gold Churchill high. It is very versitile. It's great with a fine sippin whiskey as well as with coffee. The toastiness is mingled with a salty Creamy flavor. Though the robusto, for me, has a little more complexity (go figure) the Churchill is no slouch either.

Review Notes: A bought a box of these 2 months and have smoke about 5-6 so far. I have found the prelight draw to taste "funny" almost like pesticide but it doesn't taste like that once lit. Some start on the high side of medium and some don't but they all have burnt well and have mellowed out to a nice creamy smoke with a good draw if a little loose. The one today got little spongy but stayed cool and consitent. I like these on the lawn tractor or if I have a long drive in the morning.

"Good deal for the price"

Review Notes: Hedgeman has hit a few key points that are spot-on. First, this cigar does need to have some age on it. I had six months on this one and it is absolutely not the same stick that it was when I bought it. The draw was nice and the appearance was fair. Pre-light aroma was ver faint. The taste starts out very grassy, and then develops into (as Hedgeman said) a smoother smoke with hints of cedar and nutmeg (I remember thinking to myself how much nutmeg flavor there was in this when I was smoking it; funny how Hedgeman's review flavor-wise is so similar) and the same marshmallow-y flavor. It is a decent mild stick at a very good price. Definitely not something that will blow your socks off, but if you want a nice everyday/morning smoke (and Perdomo Champagnes are not in the everyday budget) this is a good one to consider.

Review Notes: I must say...right out of the bundle, this stick lacked any significant/attractive features whatsoever; nearly no redeeming qualities at all, other than it looked good. Pretty much hot air with smoke. After six months of storage in the humidor, this was truly another cigar. So much different, my wife, who noticed the tempting aroma, took a pull off it while I was grilling and claimed this is the best cigar she has ever tasted. When describing lengths I would go for this cigar, I would easily go out of my way, five, maybe six miles to buy one. The construction, burn, and flavor (smooth with heavy cedar and nutmeg follow-up...think marshmallows toasted over a cedar fire) make this one for cool afternoons with nothing to do but breathe. I'm not much into mild, but this one made me a fan based on the consistent flavor alone. Store it for a couple of months and you won't be disappointed.
