"Why I don't like mild cigars..."

Review Notes: I received this cigar in a sampler pack from cigar.com and decided to smoke it last night. To begin with, this is a well constructed cigar, not too dense, not too spongy. The wrapper was very very smooth but did not glow as much as I would have hoped. Very little in the way of prelight aroma. Upon toasting the end I noticed that the draw on this was perfect, and there was nice ash retention. However, the flavor ( or lack thereof) was a huge dissapointment. The first third of this cigar was very mild with some creamy undertones, the middle third showed a little bit of cedar and spice, and the last third tasted like tar. Overall, this cigar is very one dimensional, but well constructed. If you are a fan of mild cigars, this is the ticket: great construction and draw. Otherwise, if you are looking for rich flavors, look elsewhere.

Review Notes: After 90 days rest the #1 is even better. The golden hue of the wrapper has turned a beautiful light brown and the flavors are smoother, deeper and more complex. Just a wonderful example of a very good cigar at a reasonable price. I am reviewing the 7.25 x 54 stogie.

Review Notes: I have smoked these for several months. The flavor is great without spending so much. This is the first cigar that I pick out of the humidor.

Review Notes: These babies are comparable to gurkha symphonies and Pedromo champagnes. This puppy burns cool, is creamy and smoooth. What a cigar. The price is right too, get a couple of these and don't worry about paying for those overpriced AVOs again.

Review Notes: Got these in a great sampler deal combo with Hoyo Excaliburs. 7.25 x 54 = one big honking cigar. The Connecticut wrapper has a dull look and no oils but very few veins. It begins with a spicy straight forward tobacco taste and stays that way for an inch or more. the ash is safe to about an inch and a half. I didn't test it any further being inside. Not as sweet as the torpedo and not as much depth. It begins to taste better as you get to the super robusto length and the spice gives way to the flavor. Good morning or golf cigar when you're in the mood for mild to medium.
