Review Notes: Reading the reviews I thought this was going to be a super peppery smoke; it really wasn't. I found the first 1/3 to have some nice mellow tobacco flavors with some background pepper and spice. It did pick up starting the second 1/3 though. It held a peppery, earthy taste with some coffee notes. The final 1/3 picked up on strength, but never overwhelmed. The burn needed a little help here and there, but nothing bad. The stick was rolled solid enough to bite on. Overall, this was a good smoke, not great, but good.

Review Notes: Couple quick notes, I do not like spicy/peppery cigars so thats were to low ratings come from. The first 1/3rd of this cigar was pretty spice heavy, the middle third become milder with tobacco flavor, and by the last third the spice was overwhelming. The burn was uneven at best with two sections forming a "canoe" which required correction from my torch lighter. I would recommend this to someone who likes pepper and spice at the same price point that i paid but not much more.

Review Notes: The construction of the cigar seemed average to other cigars that i have smoked. The first half inch of the cigar was very peppery and spicy but this flavor lessened after about an inch. The second third of the cigar had a strong tobacco taste with still strong peppery taste. The pepper and spice returned at the last third and was overwhelming. This cigar had an uneven burn and formed two "canoes" while smoking that were corrected with a torch lighter. Low marks because of pepper flavor.

Review Notes: As noted in my previous review, I had another sample to try, so here goes... Pre-light, stick #2 of 2 promised to a repeat performance. Post-light, a slightly different result, however. This one wasn't quite as decadent but still quite tasty, with strong overtones of Guinness Stout. Unfortunately, tere were some burn issues with this one that took away from the experience. Overall, I see why this line gets reviewed collectively as being inconsistent. However, I recently scored a box for $79, taking it into the realm of a bargain smoke, but it has ultra-premium potential. Likewise, if you can find a similar deal on these, pass it up so I can jump on it instead, LOL.

Review Notes: I received a pair of these as a CotM Club and I'm finishing one as I write this. Wow, as a long time cigar smoker who longs for the days during the mid 90's cigar "Boom" era, when it seemed anything you bought tasted amazing, this smoke brought me right back. The best description I've read for this cigar is refreshingly accurate and bears repeating: "Emits sweet notes noticeable in the finish, which are masked by a terrific combination of pepper and spice...creates an incredibly complex experience...the blend is filled with nuances of coffee, cocoa, white pepper, some leather, earth and cedar; creating a rich complexity, incredible balance and a smooth character." If the second one is as ggod as this first, I'm begging you, please do NOT buy these, because I want to corner the market on 'em!
