Review Notes: This one had the cedar sleeve off from day one and was WELL rested. It lit easily and burned steadily. No touchups needed, it wasn't perfect but self correcting. The aroma, flavor and body were outstanding. Fine maduro balance and body w/ no unharmonius flavors. I was reminded of a AF Sun Grown cuban belicoso. Age does wonders for these

Review Notes: I had to discipline myself for this review. Ignoring the hype, nor punishing it, and being objective.... this cigar is nothing more than a plain good cigar. Yes, it is hyped by the large catalog retailers, but it is NOT a GREAT cigar. Not bad for a couple of bucks.. looks good, but the taste is lacking. It does not have a lot of character to it. Medium/Full... no kick, no spice, a little dry/harsh even after a month in the humi... Comparable to the Rocky Patel "Seconds"... Better off buying a Tatuaje, Padron, or Cuban from the internet unless you want this as an everyday or golf course cigar.

Review Notes: I sell cigars out of my boot shop as a fun sideline. Generally speaking I get more excited over finding a real bargain than I do when I snag some of the hard to get brands/series. That said this cigar really impresses. Of all the 5-Vegas series smokes this is my favorite. That even includes the Cask Strength which I believe is not yet fully formed and may still become one of the finest if it is strengthened and aged more prior to release...Hey, that's another story. The story here, I believe, is the fact that this cigar really delivers. It is medium to full. I think medium, but I admit it has a spicy side that fills it out nicely making it full to some I suppose. It's fairly complex and for lack of any other reference I am going to say if you're a regular Rocky Patel 1990 smoker you wouldn't turn around for the difference, but you could get about two sticks for the same price as one and that's an achievement I applaud. Deep coffee, cedar, and earthy tastes abound but there are only round edges without rough ones. The afore mentioned spice breaks it up along the way keeping it interesting. Personally, I love it with Jameson (I guess good Irish Whiskey begs for something with a coffee taste). Great long greyish white ash indicates nice construction. Always easy draw indicates further that selection of consistent quality aged leaf. Really easy to recommend this one.
