Review Notes: One fine tasting, dark maduro cigar. Deep chocolate type base with a mild spice blended perfectly. 2nd size I have smoked from this line. As always, another fine line from 5 Vegas.

"Bigger ring gauge = milder profile"

Review Notes: This is one big cigar, don't let it scare you, most larger ringed cigars are milder than their smaller brothers. That being said, this is one hell of a good stick. This cigar is a sight, rolled perfectly with exl. const. The flavor profile is much milder than the other Series A's but has all the chocolate and coffee notes one expects. This cigar is also much sweeter towards the last half than the other "A"s. If you take into acount that this a different expererince due to the larger ring size, I'm sure you will enjoy this hour and a half smoke. I got these in a sampler pack for somthing like $3.00 a stick, a very good deal. I will be buying a box very soon.

"Beautiful to look at but no personality"

Review Notes: Hi, Nice to meet you folks. The 5 Vegas Apocalypse reminds me of a actress Randi Brooks in Steve Martin's film, The Man With Two Brains, a beautiful buxom blonde with a most annoying voice and nothing betwen the ears. I always smoke at least two (2) cigars before making a judgement but it took a bit of courage to light the second 5 Vegas Apocalypse. At least they were consistent. Billed as a medium to full strength stck, they lack flavor and what little they had left an unpleasant after taste in the mouth. Someone else mentioned 'chemical' taste and I'd agree. There was a slight improvement in the last 1/3rd of the smoke but I found myself thinking about what I'd smoke afterwards. I'm a botton-liner with my cigars. Whatever the price I want and expect flavor and consistency. Despite a beautiful appearance and reasonable burn (given the 58 ring), the 5 Vegas Apocalypse is a dissapointment. I have 18 of them left that I'll age and hope for improvement but I can get better smokes for half the price. Pete

"Still a bore..."

Review Notes: These have sat in my humidor for almost 2 years now (according to my last review). Fired up the last one - nothing. They still look great and they're still fairly cheap. However, they lack in the flavor department so much so that you just want to pitch it. The draw did improve, just wish they tasted like something. Very very mild, but at least smooth. Way too much hype casue these are give aways.
