Review Notes: Finally got around to trying these. Surprisingly very good. Started with some nice sweetness and changed to leather/cedar in the second 1/3. Then--I droped the damn thing and screwed up the wrapper a little. Still, it smoked pretty good until the last 1/3. At that point, it got a little bitter. Since it was cold outside, I just put it out. I have another to try after a little time in the humi.

Review Notes: I'm simply not as big a fan of this smoke as many. That said, for CBid prices, they're a great value. I've smoked 3 from a 5er I got about a year ago, the latest with a year's age on it. These look great and are well constructed. The latest gave me near 3 inches of ash before falling, and it burns charcoal gray. The only construction issue is that it is probably too tightly rolled, and didn't give me as much smoke as I'd like. Good flavor, but not great. I still prefer the CAO MX2, even for the extra money. The Gurkha Doble Maduro sports a better flavor, but its construction woes lead me to put this cigar on par with it. If they can be had at $12 for a 5er, its a great value. I got mine for $9!

"Meh"

Review Notes: Aged 6 months. Nice looking, medium bodied cigar with a dark wrapper. Tasted very young with leather.cedar for the first half and leather.cedar.burnt_match for the second half. Draw was fine, burn was off for a good 1/3 of the smoke. I might try this cigar again with a lot more age on it as it did show a little promise for this price point, but then again, maybe I won't.

"Good and bad"

Review Notes: A nice looking smoke with a very dark, almost oscuro wrapper. Very solid and rugged looking like it could withstand being bounced around in a tool box and still come out smoking fine! The first half was a very rich fulfilling smoke with nice rich mocha flavor but around 2" in things took an abrupt turn for the worse, becoming very bitter and harsh. I thought I could smoke through it - I even tried burning through it with my torch lighter which did improve things somewhat but the cigar never regained a pleasant flavor. Having said that, at the price I paid, they still seem like good value even for half a smoke!

"Well, it's no Padilla Obsidian..."

Review Notes: Decent first half, but like the "Anomaly" it turns charry, dry and ashy on the second half. Short finish. Hoping these improve after a lie down. For now, average except for the price.
