"Don Pepin Has A Winner With 601 Habano"

Review Notes: Like James Brown is to show business, so must DPG be to cigars...The "hardest working man" in yada, yada, yada. Perhaps like a few I've not always thought he hit it "out-of-the-park" as he was a master at zing and oomph, but came up kind of "rough-edged" on occasion. This is not one of those occasions, here me have a master blender reigning in just a bit of the usual power for a much more refined flavor balance. The pre-light smelled really nice like fully fermented sweetness of hay at the farm. The first one or two draws were largely spice and then, immediately, I noticed something. The zing wasn't overpowering and now I tasted a sweet caramel followed by an excellent dry aged cedar. Absolutely a gem, nothing but gold here! It tasted so good I tried to savor it!

Review Notes: Excellent construction. I prefer the Toro because this Rabito doesn't haven't as much flavor and body as the Toro. Lots of spice though.

Review Notes: This one comes with a spicy pepper start and a smooth leathery finish. Much fuller in flavor than the 601 Black. Solid construction with easy draw and volumes of smoke.

"AWESOME CIGAR"

Review Notes: Outstanding cigar. Very well blended/rolled. Refined flavor with not too much "Pepin Pepper", just a muted undertone to the rich Nicaraguan tobacco. Perfect draw, ash, burn. This is a 6.5 inch stick with tons of smoke, you can sip on it forever. Mine lasted 2 hours with 3/4' left to go. Flavour was uniform throughout, no real drop in flavor. Keep these on the dry side. HIGHLY RECOMMEND (IMO). This cigar has the refinement to complement a good meal, not too peppery or strong so that it could go with dessert and coffee. I think a nice smooth whiskey, cognac, port would really complement well with this stick.

"A new favorite"

Review Notes: I got this cigar on a trade. This cigar had a great apperance, and the aroma of a maduro. The draw was a bit tight, but still ok. The cigar itself started off spicy with a bit of leather on the palette. About half way through it became almost sweet with a touch of syrup? I couldn't place the flavor exactly, but also had a pepper taste to it. The pepper did show through towards the end and the finish was quite strong, but not bitter. The cigar never got hot, and the burn was spot on. I only needed one slight touch up otherwise. All in all a great cigar!
