Review Notes:
I read about this in CA and thought I'd give it a try--not expecting a lot, to be honest. But for the money I agree it's a good smoke. I love the fat box press shape, althought the wrapper appard a bit rough. It started off by burning unevenly but then settled and was perfect the remainder. Lots of smoke from a very loose draw. If you like an even smoke with limited complexity this is a good one. Earthy, woody, hints of mild spice, but consistently the same throughout. So, I didn't love it but didn't mind it either. I doubt I'll make it a humidor staple but if I see 'em cheap somewhere I may grab a few--just to keep variety in my habit. Overall, a well made cigar and better than most at this price range.

Review Notes:
The box-pressed shape stands out in this cigar, although the wrapper is rather lumpy. The draw is a bit loose, the burn a bit uneven, and the ash a bit flaky, but it stays lit and produces a huge amount of smoke. After some harshness at the beginning, it shows dry wood and herbal flavors. A mild to medium bodied cigar to smoke while doing outdoor chores.

Review Notes:
i actually really like this smoke. nice and box pressed, they are medium bodied and rich tasting but smooth. they seem to border on being powerful but only tease you. nevertheless, for $3.00 it's a good value. i've read the other bad reviews, but for me they do the trick, and i usually like lgc serie r, and camachos.

Review Notes:
Had a very different experience from El Gato's. The robusto was overly soft, with an unattractive wrapper, but burned and drew well. Mine was surprisingly flavorful, bordering on the taste of a decent corojo...spicy, earthy and with some tartness. Mexican earthy flavors predominated about half way through. Certainly not the best cigar I've had, but it wasn't a dog. I've seen other criticisms of this new line, so it seems they're having some serious consistency/quality control issues.

Review Notes:
Veiny wrapper with decent aroma. Burned well, only slightly crooked. Slight sweetness with light papery flavor, not much else going on. Virtually no hint of the trademark Mexican tobacco taste, a bad thing in this cigar because there is no other flavor. TeAmo lovers will not appreciate this one. You can buy four cheap Dominicans that are just as good for the same price as one of these. Try it if you want to appreciate the Turrent's effort to regain market share. That is the only thing to appreciate.
