Review Notes: This was a fine looking stick, dark and veinless, felt great to hold. But that's where the love affair ended. It drew like a McDonald's straw and was harsh and chemical-tasting. My wife who is usually very patient complained about the stench and I offered without a bit of hesitation to quit it. I like a full-bodied smoke, but I also like some complexity in the flavor profile--this had none. I'm blaming this on the blend alone. . .completely hamfisted with nothing to offer.

 Review Notes: I bought American stogies and I was not impressed at all it way to strong maybe it was the ammonia . I smoked it past half way I couldnt handle the tastes ,so I threw it away, even if it aged for a year it would have been nasty......

 Review Notes: Had the first smoke of the two I bought back in January. It was too young, full of an ammonia smell. The second was aged about 6 weeks and it started off great. Think of mole' without the cinnamon, spicey, chocolate flavor. Thought that it was what I wanted but about half way the ammonia was back, if only a little. Purged it and was able to get past the sharpness to finish out the smoke down to the nub. Suppose that I need to age a box for six months to a year. Should be a nice experiment. Good value at box prices
