Review Notes:
I was quite surprised by this cigar. I checked to see the current prices, and they are supposedly produced by Nestor Plasencia. Well rolled, nice draw. Even burn, from the very beginning, considering the rather large size of the stick. Unlike the problem the previous reviewer claimed, it is packed evenly with tobacco, no soft spots. Golden brown wrapper, oily to the touch, with a few very thin veins. If this is truly a Honduran puro, it is much mellower than I would have expected. Seven years in my humidified closet has rendered this Amaroso into a mild, silky smooth body. Delicious grain type flavors, accompanied by hints of nuts, and a natural delicate sweetness. Picks up a bit of tanginess around mid-way, but stays tasty and smooth. Very good value, considering the extra amount of smoking time, since it is a big cigar. I would guess that, considering this is a little known brand, the stock available should be well aged, and hopefully similar in quality to the cigar I am enjoying as I type this review. Available at just above $2. I recommend picking up a pack of ten, or a box.
