"AAA - An Atypical Anejo"

Review Notes: While the usual outstanding flavor of the Anejo line was evident, the wrapper was just a little sub-par and the burn was a bit of a problem. The draw was very good, but my favorite remains the No. 49, with the No. 77 in second place.

Review Notes: All I can say is wow! I love this cigar. It has an amazing pallet of flavors and changes nicely through the thirds. The draw was tighter than I like but that didn't affect the smoking experience in the least. It is defiantly will have a spot in my humidor.

Review Notes: I smoked a box of this cigar now. It is a beautifully constructed and smoke consistent. I smoked some of them right of the truck and as well as aged (1 yr). It is ages well. The flavor was complex. I especially enjoy the first 1 inch. I would agree that it is more mild than the opus X but it depends upon my mood. I want a stronger kick, I go with opus. The smoke was complex and changes throughout the thirds. Highly recommend. You get what you pay for.

Review Notes: Received a couple of these from trading a few weeks back and finally had a couple of free hours today to enjoy one. Not the prettiest looking smoke Fuente makes. Wrapper was a little veiny and had some bumps on it. Had an odd toothy/waxy texture to it as well. Gave it a snip, lit up and got to work. Flavors in the first 1/3 were cedar with touches of pepper and spice. 2/3 brought in some creaminess on the finish. Last third would have the occasional taste of dark chocolate and coffee. This may sound like a complex smoke but a short finish keeps it from being that. Still great none the less. Draw started out rather tight but loosened up nicely after about an inch and a half. Burn was near perfect but needed one correction to prevent tunneling. This is a long smoke, took me a little over an hour and a half from light up to less than an inch left. Overall, this is an awesome cigar, though the price tag may turn some people away. I've seen these go for as much as 25+ dollars a stick. However I feel this is one instance where you just bite the bullet and go for it, that is if you can find them.
