Review Notes: My first into to the Don Carlos line. They were much better than I expected, kind of a medium punch, but smooooth man. The construction held up until it got a little hot near the nub. Would buy again.

Review Notes: this was my fourth from the box- about six months since I bought the box. Leather and some distant spice highlights this very dry basic, one dimensional cigar. Each have been the same in every way. Nothing special but not bad. There is no finish on this cigar- the same taste and aroma all the way though.

Review Notes: This is an excellent dominican cigar this is hands down the best dominican one can buy, better then the opus x. The cigar is full of complexity and not boring at all too bad I had only 2 that were gifted to me from my boss. Now i have to go out and buy a box that will be well worth it.

Review Notes: I love the Don Carlos line and consider it far superior to its perhaps more popular Hemingway counterpart. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra couple bucks when selecting between these two. Just smoked one of these that had been resting for about a year and was not disappointed.

Review Notes: I was very excited about going out and purchasing this very well rated cigar. I was so looking forward to the relaxing, well deserved, time that I would spend savoring this stick. When I sat down to light it I put it up to my nose and opened all my senses to take in what I thought would be a rich bouquet. I was taken aback immediately. I thought I was near a very wet and dirty dog. An almost acrid smell was in the mix. I started to wonder. Clipping and lighting the cigar I noticed how poor the wrapper was adhered to the cigar. It started pulling away almost immediately after lighting. I had to lick the side in several places over and over again to stop a serious unwrapping. All of this could have been over looked with a smoke with all the qualities that I had started out to find. Well...that didn't happen. I did get puffs of a rich leather and mahogany flavor, but these were sporadic at best. Nearly every draw brought in a green woody flavor, and had that not been mixed with a metallic, petroleum oil slick that by the end of the smoke left me queazy, I would have been only slightly disappointed. Inch after inch my pallette was accosted with this $11 dollar dissapointment. I can only say that I hope I just bought a bad one, and if I was offered another down the road, I would try it again in the hopes of putting down the bad memories suffered this go around.
