Review Notes: Date: 5/21/09 Time: Noon Location: Back Porch Drink: Ice Water Cutter: Perdomo Lighter: Tiger Construction: Very firm stick that somehow feels ‘light’ in the hand. Very clean foot and cap. Pre-light aroma/draw: Nutty scent on exterior of stick. Somewhat tight prelight draw. Floral/sweet pre-light flavors 1st third: First puffs: Floral flavors & slight straight tobacco as well. Slow burn & rather tight draw through the ‘toe’ end. Draw and volume of smoke open up greatly once past ‘toe’. Slight cocoa flavors enter. Tight white ash. Slight uneven burn that self corrects w/o touch-up. 2nd third: FPs: Cocoa through the nose, leather left in the mouth. Cocoa and leather dominate middle 1/3 Last 3rd: FPs: Cocoa starts final 1/3. Leather enters again near end of smoke/nub Overall: Floral/fruity to cocoa & leather Appearance: 9.5 Construction: 9 Flavor: 8 Value: 8 Experience: 9 OVERALL: 8.7

Review Notes: Loved the sweet richness of the maduro. Consistent flavors throughout, more interesting than most of the maduros I've smoked. Nice ash, and even burn. This one was only in the humidor for a week. Went back today and bought 3 more to sit on for a while.

Review Notes: I love the ceremony of lighting a Hemingway. The flame from the match tickled the foot, and soon the small cherry at the end of the tiny tip steadily grew to encompass the bulbous foot. The draw opened nicely and rapidly allowed the smoke, and flavor, to pour through. I held the stick up to the sun and caught the majestic glistening of thousands of microscopic crystals clinging to the black background of the maduro wrapper. This was not a strong cigar, but it was quite flavorful with hints of wax and varnish intertwining with damp oak leaves. A dark variegated grey ash shot through with tan highlights grew at a predictable pace and held the unmistakable perfecto shape for the first two inches before falling to reveal a small orange coal. The cigar had a lovely rich aroma redolent of juniper and tea leaves.

Review Notes: Very dark, almost black wrap. Dry cocoa with hints of pepper. They have a sweetness to them when fresh, that diminishes with age.

Review Notes: Had this smoke following a Perdomo Lot 23 and couldn't help but compare. Maybe it was the shape or size but just a much more enjoyable smoke. Easy light, good burn, very flavorful. I'm a newbie so I can't quite describe the flavors. I'll buy this one again and in multiples to have around.
