Review Notes:
Half way through I looked at this cigar and thought it doesn't get much better than this. Excellent taste, aroma, burn. Strong in flavor and ash. Very highly recommended.

Review Notes:
Somewhat larger than is typical of my recent selections, this offering was satisfyingly complex, moderately strong, and reminded me, quite favorably. of the Sun Grown Cuban Belicoso. The dark, beautiful wrapper lent a delightful counterpoint to the spicy overtones. A pleasant way to spend 1 1/2 hours.

Review Notes:
The draw is excellent and the burn was even all the way to the band. It starts up with a delicate and woody aroma that lingers for the duration of the cigar. At first it doesn’t seem quite as strong as the aroma of the rothschild Sungrown, but the King B takes a while to warm up. The intial flavor is unremarkable — mild straightforward tobacco, pleasant but nondescript. About half way through the cigar it becomes a little more flavorful, slightly tannic, with very little aftertaste. The smoke is medium in body and has a pretty good nicotine kick, but so far is lacking the flavor to match. At the two thirds point, the spice and pepper that I expected (based on the other sizes in the Chateau series) finally kicked in. It’s not what I would call complex, but it’s a little more than the simple nutty Dominican tobacco flavor I was getting up to that point. I was mildly disappointed in this cigar. I really enjoy the rothschild size in this line and I was expecting something along those lines but BIGGER. Instead what I found was a slow starter with a similar but flatter flavor profile.

Review Notes:
When I saw that the Chateau series uses Ecuador, not Cameroon wrapper which I don't like, I just knew I had to try this one. Appearance and construction are top notch. It starts off a little spicy and shortly afterwards the nuttiness takes over through the end of the cigar. Medium bodied. Quite easily the best Fuente I have had in a long time, probably ever.

Review Notes:
After roughly a year in the humi, the flavor remains roughly average. Woody with some coffee notes, but it also borders on getting tarry if you aren't careful. Build and appearance are certainly high points here. I was hoping a lie down would bring out a little more complexity, but no such luck. Not a bad smoke, but there's no wow factor either.
