"Spicy little gem"

Review Notes: I wanna tell you all about one of my favorite little medium to full bodied cigars. The Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente Sun Grown is a robusto sized cigar at 4.5 x 50. The first time I smoked one, I went WAY TO FAST and really harshed my experience, but have since learned that just because they are small does not mean they are to be smoked fast. The Sun Grown starts with a kick. The first time I lit one I thought, holy shit I am never going to be able to smoke this thing. Like I said I smoked that one too fast and made the whole experience a downer, but now I light it up and take it slow. I usually can make it last about 50 minutes to an hour. The first two to four draws are pure SPICE. I mean black pepper spicy what the hell have I gotten myself into. But stick with it about 6 full draws and it settles down to a nice subtle spice with a tobacco sweetness that comes from the wrapper. I would love to tell you what they cost but I have consistently had 15 in my humidor since Christmas and have never paid for one. Everytime my dad goes to Phoenix he buys me anywhere from 10 to a box of them. But I think they are somewhere in the neighborhood of 4.50 to 5.50 a stick depending on the place. If you are in to a good cigar with a bit of a kick, the Arturo Fuente Chateau Fuente Sun Grown is worth a try. I actually like them better than a lot of the Fuente super premiums that sell for 10 bucks more per stick.

"Good smoke"

Review Notes: These are one of the cigars that have made me a Dominican fan. I enjoyed smoking this medium bodied, dense and oily cigar and I believe that this will get better with age. And at the current price per box you can afford to buy two boxes at a time. For those cigar aficionados out there, I would describe this cigar as tasting notes of earth, wood, cedar and slight mineral flavors attacking your palate at once. But in plan english, good flavor for a price you cannot find anywhere else. There are some burn issues from time to time, but this cigar catches up and it is nothing that a trusty torch cannot fix in a jiffy. My good friend Dave Barry lives on these and the larger Double Chateau. I might be following his foot steps.

"Great flavor, less than average burn"

Review Notes: I've had serious burn problems with all the chateaus and this one burns better than the rest, but still problematic. The flavor is fantastic! Medium to full bodied spice and a nice cedar flavor with a slight sweetness. Delicious. An excellent 25 - 30 minute escape.

"Tasty Little Morsels"

Review Notes: These are spicy and sweet, and if given a little time, will settle down and perform with very good manners. They have a "classic" sungrown flavor, by my lights.

Review Notes: Having enjoyed many Fuente offerings over the years, I find my loyalties in question. After working my way through a couple from the box, I found the first had taste, but one of the worst burns I've seen. I had trouble getting part of it to light with a torch. A 4 1/2" cigar with a 2" run is no fun. The second had an even burn, but not the same taste.
