Review Notes: Wow! I finally tried the highly rated Ashton Cabinet. Am I missing something? (aside from the $10 I paid, that is) Nothing special. Not much smoke and let's face it, No smoke = No flavor. The draw was a bit tight, the burn was excellent, the aroma is good, though I guess I could say that about a lot of others too. No real notes or hints of flavor, just a mild cigar that can't even compete with a half cup of coffee. If the one reviewer really got a nose of maple and cinammon, something tells me he was having breakfast at the time 'cuz there ain't nothing here.

Review Notes: They surely put the senior members of the team on this production line as these cigars are as beautiful as sculptures. The wrappers are light and flawless and the construction is top notch. Mild and very smooth, these will go toe to toe with the Davidoff line any day of the week for just slightly less money.

"Nice smoke"

Review Notes: This is my favorite mild smoke. People can say what they want about price but I think you get what you pay for. Ashton can easily get away with charging what they do for their cigars because you always know what your getting when you buy a box. Consistency is something you pay for in cigars and these are some of the best mild smokes around. I think they are far more complex and enjoyable than the zino platinums at half the price. Smoking this cigar you will notice first the classic nutty creamy flavor of the wrapper. It is also a little heavy with hints of spice, cocoa, coffee, and at the end even a little pepper. The pepper through me off because that is something I typically only experience with cubans. All in all, the best mild cigar out there IMO.

"Smooth and creamy"

Review Notes: "Smooth and creamy" the cigar store owner said as he directed me to a nearly empty box of Robusto sized Ashton Cabinets. Jokingly, I remarked "do you like smooth and creamy things in your mouth?" All kidding aside, this was a nice smoke. This cigar was a bit on the mild side - an excellent choice for a morning cigar or second smoke. The flavor was a bit sweet and left an Earl Grey with cream flavor in your mouth. I was disappointed with the finish as it became a bit bitter toward the tip. The cigar is an attractive lighter colored cigar with a nice wrap - the burn was even and the draw was full. For $10 you will find better cigars, no doubt. Nevertheless, this cigar is worth keeping in your humidor for an occasional walk on the lighter side.
