Review Notes: Aged at least 1 year (was a gift so not sure of age). This moderately attractive, medium bodied smoke had a fantastic draw and a very sub-par burn. The flavor started a very unrefined cedar.earth not befitting this price point. It then moved onto a cedar.pepper.spice flavor that was, while better, still not very sophisticated. About halfway through, the flavor became a little smoother and took on a background cinnamon note. A little after that, the flavor became oak.pepper and much more refined. I just never felt like the cigar completely "blossomed" and would only recommend it if it were 1/2 it's selling price.

Review Notes: This cigar did nothing for me. I paid $8.50 and felt it was worth about $5. It had a slight harshness on the palate at the begining and later turned to a stale taste and never spiced up. Very disapointing. Although it did have a wonderful burn and draw and construction.

Review Notes: This Ashton is one fine cigar. Well rolled, great draw. A teeny bit of an uneven burn, which I am guessing is due to the high quality of the Cameroon wrapper. It is a thick and oily wrapper, and struggles to burn evenly with the burn of the fillers. It in no way impedes the enjoyment of the cigar. The silky texture of the medium body smoke is among the finest I have ever experienced. Buttery, and smooth as leather. This attribute in itself makes this one of the few cigars worth this high of an asking price. The tobacco flavor is refined and delicious. There are overtones of toasty bread, and a hint of nuts. The next time there is an extra $10 to spare towards the cigar budget, I highly recommend trying an Ashton Heritage Puro Sol.

Review Notes: I just finished smoking about half of one of these, and I was not impressed. It had been in my humidor for about 6 weeks, and I was really looking forward to it because it looked great. Appearance was superb. Construction was good, but someone could have been a little less sloppy with the glue. Light, burn and ash were fine, but the draw was pretty tight. Overall, this cigar is pretty darn mild. I found nothing in the first half of this cigar that could be characterized as "rich" or "spicy." There was a hint of woodiness at one point, but as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared. The two reasons I really didn't like this cigar (and put it out at the halfway point) are because the predominant flavor was an unappetizing "sweetness" and because there just wasn't much smoke. I like a cigar with thick, creamy smoke and lots of flavor. This had neither. I have another in the humidor and will update the review if anything changes. In the meantime, I will enjoy some of the MANY other cigars out there that have more flavor, more character and a better price.

Review Notes: A nicely spiced medium bodied smoke, slightly sweet and extremely aromatic. Sweet kitchen spices abound, turning to a light leather on the finish. An excellent cameroon wrapper. Decent construction, though it didn't burn perfectly even. No biggie. I'd smoke these all day long if I could afford to.
