Review Notes: Enjoyed the Ashton Aged Maduro with several pints of Guiness, which became a match made in heaven. The cigar had dominant cocoa notes with a smooth but complex woody and earthy finish that increased as the cigar was smoked. Flavors and strength ramped up a bit towards the final third, but remained in the med. range, and very smooth and balanced. I couldn't put it down. If you enjoy the Rocky Patel 1990, you will love this one too. In my opinion, the Ashton has a little more in the way of complexity and finish than the RP. I will be smoking more of these in the future.

 Review Notes: Have tried two boxes, the first after reading great reviews, the second to verify that I didn't get a 'fluke' box the first time. I mostly smoke maduros, with medium to strong, full bodied, mellow taste. These leave me unimpressed. The taste is almost 'shallow' and cardboard-y even though technically 'full flavored'. It isn't a complex flavor. I guess that's what you get for it being cheap. A dramatically better inexpensive smoke is the Indian Tabac Superfuerte Maduro; one of the better cigars in its class, regardless of price.

 Review Notes: After thinking these were the holy grail of maduro cigars, i bought a box. They were OK but there are equal or better maduros for much, much less.

 Review Notes: Pretty good cigar but way too mild for a maduro from a quality brand. I also agree the taste was pretty one dimensional.
