Review Notes:
Absolute great smoke. The wrapper had a great dark earthy color, with a wonderful leather texture. It lights with ease and quicky hits you with its strong spicey flavor. This cigar is not for the novice, the extremely full-bodied flavor comes with a blast, but never become overpowering. The aftertaste is a wonderful one, leaving memories of the wonderful smoke. No complaints here and for a two dollar drop in price I prefer this over the spellbound. A must try for any serious cigar smoker.

Review Notes:
The VSG has a sturdy feel, thick and hard. This could have something to do with a somewhat tight draw through the middle of the stick. The wrapper was an attractive deep brown and had a spicy peppery taste before the cut, but more sweetness during the pre-light draw. It started out somewhat peppery and seemed like it might be a fuller-bodied smoke. About an inch in the flavor changed, and a creamier coffeelike flavor kicked in. The VSG seemed more medium bodied through most of the smoke, but turned a bit more spicy again towards the finish. It needed one correction as it began to run a little bit halfway through. All in all a good cigar, though not the best value out there considering the price. I will leave a couple in the humi to see how they age.

Review Notes:
Based on the many reviews, I was expecting a very strong, spicy smoke. To me, this was not a "powerhouse" cigar. It was full flavored, but only medium bodied. This is a beautiful, and well constructed stick. The first impression was primarily a tobacco flavor, smooth but with little finish. Halfway through, it developed a sweeter, nut-like flavor, which reminded me very much of a Diamond Crown Maximus. Overall, a rich, flavorful smoke, but not the spicy powerhouse that I had been led to expect.

Review Notes:
The Ashton VSG is a great smoke for those who like the full bodied smoke. I have never had a bad Ashton and this is just another of their great cigars in a wonderful ine. I keep at least three VSGs at home for whenever someone stops by.

Review Notes:
Ashton VSGs are powerful and full flavored cigars oozing with oil. Great construction, easy draw and even burn. The flavor has a mix of nuts and spices. Perfect after a steak dinner and definitely not a beginner cigar.
