Review Notes:
I can't help but note that the reviews for this cigar are all over the place, suggesting that quality controls are poor somewhere in manufacturing or in the supply chain. It doesn't really matter; if I can't trust the manufacturer to ensure I receive a consistent product then I'm not buying. Mine was free (came with a purchase bonus offer), and I actually found it a pretty fair smoke. Kind of a milder Nicaraguan, with decent flavor and a little pepper kick. Sorry, Tony, I've become risk averse when it comes to my cigar purchases. I have way too many cigars in my humidors that were purchased based on a couple of good experiences, only to discover that once I bought a box that half of them are duds.

Review Notes:
A disappointing smoke to say the least. The construction was subpar and ran so much it could have won the Boston marathon. Strong cigar, but all the good flavors were hidden behind a musty, chemical taste that made finishing the smoke a struggle. I would not consider smoking another (even if it was a gift).

Review Notes:
B500 (5x50) purchased in Nov 2006. Dark oily wrapper w very dark colored filler. An attractive cigar with an attractive band, but as with the Trinidad line, the extra line on the bottom stating made in Nicaragua should go. Prelight aroma is a musty smell, and not overly appealing.
Prelight draw really didn't discern much in the way of flavor. Good draw with excellent thick smoke volume.
Initial flavors are similar to the Deseo line, but not as peppery, more muted and heavier with out as much of a nicotine kick. Actually the more muted peppery tones make for a better tasting cigar IMHO. A heavy earthy flavor with mushrooms and a non overbearing zesty peppery flavor. The finish takes on a more woody taste and is medium length.
2nd third picks up some cedar notes with the last third having the spice tone down a bit.
This smoke is not as strong as the Trinidad or Deseo line, but I actually like the qualities of this cigar better, with the Trinidad coming next.
Not overly complex, but enjoyable. Burn is straight with a very solid dark grey ash.
This isn't the cigar to select if you are looking for a spicy kick or something fairly strong. However, I found it very enjoyable, with just enough flavor and light spice to keep it interesting. There is almost a Latakia like flavor and scent within this cigar. Latakia, for those who may not know is a middle eastern (Syria, Cyprus) pipe tobacco know for strength and an somewhat burning tent like aroma. While the aroma in the Blu is much nicer I did find some similarities. This smoke was very enjoyable with a cup of coffee.

Review Notes:
I got five from Famous. Smelled bad to begin with; musty and moldy sort of odor. Medium strength, didn't taste very Nic. like to me. The third & fourth ones had something rolled with the filler that was like charcoal or dung. Big chars of black fell with the ash. I had to pitch one half way through. I'll save the last one for an enemy. One of the worse cigars I've ever smoked. Avoid these bummers.

Review Notes:
this is a pretty strong cigar. Typical Bahia. Although I would not say it's one of their better ones, it's still an OK smoke if you like them strong. Nicaraguan all the way, peppery and spicy for the most part, a little bit stingy. Not a cigar you will remember though.
Burn was good. Personally, I think Bahia's best is the Maduro, but this may be worth a try if you like other Bahias.
