Review Notes: I have to agree with some of the other reviewers, this is not the same cigar it was in the late 90's. I tried a Bahia Gold robusto back in about '98 and I just recently had one, and they are very different. The original was one of the best cigars I ever had; it was full of taste. I believe that was the one that scored the 90 review in CA magazine. This one was so mild I threw it out early. Not that it was bad, but I don't like mild smokes. This is not a full bodied smoke as is advertised. However it had good construction and burn. Definitely tastes Dominican though. I wonder if the Gold Maduro is a different blend or if it's simply the Gold with a maduro wrapper. I have yet to try one.

 Review Notes: Beautiful cigar. First impressions was a positive one. It lit well and burn great. But that was it. Lots of smoke, but left no real impression of taste. Perphaps a bit of aging for it. I am gonna try the maduro next, perhaps that will leave an impression
