Review Notes:I smoked one of these Bauza fresh out of the box when I bought them around 5 years ago, and was not impressed. It was harsh, and I did not like it. So, I put them down for a long rest. Well, I am now enjoying this well constructed torpedo. A chestnut brown wrapper, with perhaps the slightest touch of reddish hue. Several thin veins, one protruding just a tiny bit through the wrapper. Excellent roll and draw. A tiny bit of uneven burn, not enough to cause any problem. I would say a medium body, and that nice creamy, buttery texture of smoke that I look for in a good cigar. This adds to the overall experience, and will score a 10. Very nice flavor mix of bakery spice and exotic nuts, of which I detect a very unique delicious hint of pistachio, the only cigar in which I have ever noticed this flavor. Add some undertones of bread, cocoa, coffee and fruits, and it all adds up to an outstanding smoking experience. I am very glad I held onto these, and I bought them on a terrific sale, only paid about $3 per stick, so I will add a value point. I recommend trying one, but I must suggest significant extra humidor time after purchase.

Review Notes:I was given this by a close friend. I found it to be a great medium bodied smoke with lots of cream and spice.
Review Notes:A mild smoke with a sweetish tang to it. Nice tobacco flavor and aroma. A good first cigar of the day. Appearance is very nice, if a bit rustic. Burn is slightly uneven at times, but nothing intolerable. At the price I paid, well under $3/cigar they are worth it as a let up to my usual heavier regimen.

Review Notes:For a long time, this was counted among the best buys in the market. But with the end of the boom and the proliferation of great smokes at the $4.00 price point, this one is no longer the hands-down winner in the value department. That said, the Bauza Pyramid remains an thoroughly respectable smoke for the money. It starts with a burst of nuttiness, but quickly settles into a warm blend of leather, toast and wood with an occasional caramel note on the finish. While some have minor burn issues (like the one I'm smoking now), the draw is always near-perfect. The fairest knock on this stick is that the flavor goes flat in the second half. As noted by previous reviewers, it's a good anytime smoke. Never spectacular, but you'll never go looking for your four clams back, either.
