Review Notes: Here's what Bobalu says about this cigar in the flyer that comes with the sampler. "This is our signature cigar & it's available in 9 sizes. Dominican binder & filler crowned with savory Sumatran wrapper make this a must for the cigar enthusiast. Absolutely smooth & mild with no bitter aftertaste." The wrapper is a dark reddish brown, almost maduro, with few veins & a grain that I find on some Sumatra wrapper. This particular stick does not display the slight sponginess that I found with the 1st one. The draw & burn are fine & this cigar has a darkish gray ash that holds well. I forgot to mention there was a slight floral aroma on the outside of this cigar. Medium bodied. Not your typical Dominican. There was a bit of initial bitterness on the tongue. I believe this came from the oils on the wrapper & faded quickly. The flavor & aroma of this cigar does not disappoint. There is a depth here & a nice roundness on the palate as the flavor expends in your mouth. The nose has some of the nice sweet highs you expect from Dominican tobaccos. Some barnyard is present also, along with a toasty finish. This cigar just gets better & more flavorful as you smoke it. Worthy of mention are the grahics, which are pretty much non-existent. The band is white & says Bobalu Cigar Co. There is a gold stripe at the top & bottom of this plain jane band. I give this one a thumbs way up. You can get it at www.bobalucigarco.com.
