Review Notes: This cigar was gifted to me and after much anticipation and resting I decided to spark it today after breakfast. This was a mistake because this cigar packs a punch. Full flavored and wonderful smoke that should be reserved for after a steak dinner with a scotch or other fine spirit. Prelight: the cigar looked pretty rugged and old school with a hefty vain running from foot to cap. The cigar had a earthy and herbal smell to it almost like tea which continued through the prelight draw. Draw was smooth with a nice resistance. 1/3: cigar lit without any problems and I was instantly hit with pepper earth and wood. A short sea salt lingered briefly. Finally the classic creammy finish. Though the strong spice dd subside slightly, I was constantly pounded with full flavors of cedar espresso and a bit of dark chocolate. I really wasn't expecting this stick to be full bodied. 2/3: the pepper is now almost completely replaced by cedar coffee and leather. No more sea salt at all and the finish is super clean and creamy. No bitterness at all. A dark chocolate lingers now instead of the initial spice. The draw has opened up a bit and I am really enjoying it although I am really starting to feel ithe strength in my gut. Burn has not been perfect, but corrected itself before any mishaps requiring a touch up could occur. 3/3: the cedar has now subsided and yeilded to more chocolate and espresso flavors with a wonderful creamy finish. A great earthy cocoa flavor lingers lightly on the tongue between draws. The slightly irregular burn has continued. Enough to catch your eye, but nothing that caused worry. I smoked this one until my fingers burned. Which was probably a mistake because my head started to spin a bit and I really felt it in the gut. Definately my fault as I underestimated the light wrapper that says

 Review Notes: Excellent strong earth, cream, and some wood (cedar?). pre-burn smell was very pleasant. Slightly better than the robusto. Even burn w/ no touchups needed. Uber smooth to go along with the wonderful Cuban earthiness. This and padron no. 45 are my top FAVS in the humidor!

 Review Notes: This was an enjoyable smoke, but didn't seem to have as much character as many other Bolivars that I've tried. Maybe it was just this stick. In any case, it was a good cigar with good flavors and mild spice. I'd definitely try one again.
