Review Notes: Had my first one tonight at the park, and I am speechless!! A friend had given me one as pre- wedding gift 4 months ago and I had kept in optimal condition since then. It had the darkest wrapper I've ever seen on a Cuban cigar, had a glossy sheen, and the construction was top notch. Came from a box dated apr 08 so it was ready to go. Pre draw notes were pure chocolate. I'm talking dark chocolate with coffee and nutty tones. Toasted the foot and from the first draw I was in heaven! It had all the elements of a classic Cuban and then some! First third had loads of dark chocolate, coffee and roasted nuts. The second third added leather and eartth with a slight rise in strength. the final third was a medley of all of the above and had a finish that was of toasty, pure top notch Cuban tobacco. Burn was razor sharp and produced the most smoke I've ever had with a Cuban. It never got bitter or harsh but remained smooth and decadent. All the while it had the classic flavor profile of bolivar. I have not idea why this is rated 50 on this list, as it should be at least in the top ten or top 5!! The best way I can describe this cigar is if you combined the classic Cuban taste, richness and flavor, with the deep dark chocolate & earth notes of a padron 1964/1926 series, then you have the bolivar royal corona. Trust me guys, this cigar is one to get by the box and lots of them!!'

Review Notes: Working my way through my 2nd box of royal coronas in the last month dated NOV 09. The consistency is phenomenal. Each smokes as wonderful as the last. I find myself giving some away to see if other people's reactions are as favorable as mine....and they are. If there is a better Cuban robusto out there, I haven't found it. And for the price, the can't be beat. There is a dark woody note that is signature to Bolivar that I crave when I smoke other cigars. Hail to Bolivar!

Review Notes: This was giftted to me (thanks,Bob!) and my first cuban! Just the scent of the cigar was so different than all the NC's I have tried. The wrapper is plain,and a medium shade of tan/brown.Seems to be very aged,as the foot was a little crumbly. Lit well...and oh..my..the taste! Toasty,cream with a hint of saltiness.Perfect draw,lots of smoke..and an excellent pace.The flavor is bold,but not overpowering. Midway,I began to smile,and realized what all the fuss is about CC's.The delivery was not like any other cigar I have had.This is one helluva damn fine smoke!

Review Notes: I got a box of these for my birthday today! (+ a vapor trail to the deck to smoke one). I've had Bolivars many times before, so was expecting a repeat, which I got. This size is a nice step up from the petit corona and smoked for an hour TO THE NUB!!! The smell is distinctly Cuban, the taste is full but not off the charts. This is a top shelf, quality Cuban cigar for about half what you would pay for a Cohiba Robusto, and nearly as good. Highly recommended.

Review Notes: I have had this box for quite some time hoping that aging could improve the flavors. All of them from this box are the same. Appearance is fine even though the color of the wrapper is lighter than I would like. They have some small veins. Construction is fine, they draw well and the ash is tight. HOWEVER,  they are mild, somewhat grassy and, at times, a little harsh. When tobacco is not that great to begin with, there is no aging that can improve it!
