Review Notes:
I got a few of these in a sampler package JR did and was so impressed, I just bought a box (actually....a cask). I like a bolder cigar and these definately fit the bill. It smoked great, was loaded with flavor (and I mean loaded!!!) and was the kind of stick that you never want to end. Another reviewer stated that the only cigar they would take over this was the Monty #2 and I couldn't agree more. It's that good in my book.l

Review Notes:
Flavor didn't hold my interest. The cigar was soft and it kept coming apart in my mouth. I chucked it after 1 1/2 inches. If all cigars were like this I wouldn't smoke.

Review Notes:
I have had this one resting for about 18 months. Its appearance was not the cleanest, cracked at the foot, a little rough. It lit up with some difficulty and tunneled like mad throughout. The smoke scent was wonderful, just lovely. The flavor was well above average, too. I didn’t spend much on it, and the sun was warm on the porch with my coffee, so all in all it wasn’t a horrible experience. Just the burn was distracting.

Review Notes:
I got a five pack of the Bolivar Toro for $13 after reading a few good reviews here and there. I'd smoked a few of the old Bolivars, and enjoyed them, but hadn't smoked one in a while and was interested to try the new version. This cigar had a flawless, rich-colorado-color wrapper, was ideally firm to the touch, and sported a bigger, flashier band than the old Bolis, with their portrait of the Liberator that I particularly liked. Pre-light the cigar had a pungent aroma that told me the flavor, good or bad, was going to be distinctive and assertive. I lit the cigar without a problem, and it drew beautifully, burning evenly all the way down. Indeed the flavor was distinctive, with a perfect balance of toasted spice and leather adding up to a complex of flavors I can only describe as what-a-cigar-should-taste-like. Suffice it to say that I was enjoying the cigar too thoroughly to begin taking it apart in my head. I've been looking for a cigar of this quality and full flavor at less than super-premium prices, and now I've found it. I look forward to sampling the other vitolas in this line.

Review Notes:
Got a 5er on Cbid. Noticed one had a split at the foot. I figured I'd light it up and see if I could burn through it. Well, it did but the thing kept going out on me.
Aside from the construction issues these taste good. Nice fuller bodied and earthy.
