Review Notes: Very well made, with a shiny dark reddish brown wrapper. I got it free with a coupon from CA last fall, or was it late summer. Whatever. I've had it in my humidor since then, and based on the reviews, I was a bit weary about it. Well, I finally decided to smoke it on the golf course in the late afternoon. I gotta tell you, it was a it disappointing. The burn was horrible, and I had to relight it 4 times! The darn thing kept tunneling on me. It tasted rather sweet and earthy at first, turning more earthy and muddy as it went on. It wasn't totally repulsive, though, but I wouldn't recommend it. For a free cigar, I can't really complain too much, though. I will never buy this cigar, that is for damn sure!

Review Notes: Damn, damn, damn-- this looked like such a good cigar- Just gorgeous- brillant sheen to the the rich wrapper. Smelled gooooood too. Clipped it- took a pre-light draw...problems- totally plugged. Got my poker to clear a path..better. Lit it up..puff puff puff... got a little taste- but no smoke- my poker didn't help much. Did some more surguries, some more heavy, labored puffing, but this one was a gonner. Might have been good, coulda been good- but I don't know.

Review Notes: After seeing this stick in Cigar Aficionado, I decided to give it a try. My first thought on the construction was that it was questionable. The wrapper split after cutting the cigar. The prelight draw resulted in flakes in my mouth. The taste of the draw did nothing to impress nor repulse. Once I fired up the smoke, the flavor was very mild, almost too mild. As I progressed through the midway point, this cigar improved. There was some spice and a little bit of pepper. The draw was very easy and the burn was fairly straight. I must admit that I smoked this stick the day that it arrived (water pillow provided in the bag). It may have needed some time in the humidor and that is what I plan to do with the other Bolivar purchased with this one. Overall, I have a feeling that this will be a good smoke once it has time to rest.

Review Notes: I loved the way this cigar looks. It is nice and dark with a pleasant aroma. It lit well and burned so-so. The wrapper seemed fragile. There were many flavors apparent during the course of the cigar, but mainly a nutty/coffee taste with intermittent hints of spice. It certainly was not a simple flavor, but moved around the palette.

Review Notes: Lit and burned well. Draw started tight, but got a little better. Medium body/flavor that just wasn't that great, sort of like burned nuts.(and we all know how unpleasant THAT is)
