"Great blend, an underappreciated smoke"

Review Notes:
So I'm not the only who like these, but I'm apparently the only one still smoking them? Sloppy cap, but a dark, oily wrapper. Villazon does a remarkable job with the consistency of this blend. Every one I've had over the last five or six years has tasted exactly the same. Medium-full and complex. A little clove at the start that fades quickly. Then spice, earth, with an underlying sweetness that falls somewhere between cookie dough and molasses. Long finish. A bonus is that the packing date is written in pencil on the bottom of the box, so you know exactly what you're getting. In the case of the box I picked up last week, it already has 16 months on it. Smoking well straight away. An underappreciated gem at a great price.

Review Notes:
Another reviewer noted that this could be considered a poor-man's VSG, and I agree. With a year or so of rest, these lose a little of their sharpness and pick up more balance, with a longer, more pronounced caramel touch on the finish. The wrappers have an inviting, oily sheen. The construction is only average, but the heavy leather flavor more than makes up for the occasional crooked burn. Rivaled at this price point only by the Sancho Panza Fuerte.

Review Notes:
Funny that I've never been disappointed with one of these cigars. Solid, honest cigar that is well priced. Construction has been reliably excellent and the taste doesn't disappoint.

Review Notes:
This cigar was better than expected, very nice flavor. The fuertes are advertised as full strength, I didn't sense that while I was smoking it. I believe they're correct though. The burn was even and the ash stayed on nearly half way through the cigar. Lots of spicey flavorful smoke.

Review Notes:
I love the Bolivar Fuertes. Inexpensive, flavorful, decent burn, (not the best,) and inexpensive...did I mention inexpensive? Ok seriously, this is one of the best bargains I've found. I recommend the Delmonico over this one though; larger ring guage brings more satisfaction in this line, IMHO.
