Review Notes: I have been sitting on a box of these and Man O Wars since I started smoking cigars 3 months ago. I must say that this is a nice smoke, light to medium bodied but full flavored. They are packaged nice but don't look as good out of the cedar. The unlit draw was a little fruity. Nice burn and a great draw produces volumns of smoke. I think these will make a great smoke share with family and friends that only smoke on occasion.

Review Notes: I get these from Cigarbid and are of my favorites to get from them. Great draw and burn's consistently with a nice ash. They have a creamy vanilla taste with a hint of cider as well. Maybe one of the best that CAO has to offer and being a fan of CAO that's saying allot

Review Notes: I agree almost completely with the previous review from Boston_Dude--except that my numerical ratings are lower. This is a good-looking cigar that I really looked forward to trying, but it ends up being too mild to the point of being boring. It's a smooth and fairly sophisticated smoke (one critique: the ash is pretty flaky, but it does hold up fine), but the flavor is nothing to write home about. And it looks nice in the humidor, but when you take off the nice cedar sleeve, you notice that it's fairly veiny.

"Decent Mild Cigar"

Review Notes: Construction of this cigar is top notch. Smooth wrapper and cuts easily. Looks great. Taste it starts off excellent with a blast of spices that made my mouth tingle, and lots of earthiness. I really liked the flavor profile of the first few draws. However, then it really turned into a mild cigar with light coffee, grassiness and generally smooth draw. Didn't leave much earthiness on my palate that I really liked early on. I was hoping it would return but it didn't and it became a mild cigar the rest of the way with varying degrees of coffee, leather, and tones of grassiness throughout. The burn was even and produced a decent solid ash. Draw was loose early on with med amounts of smoke. Draw got tighter as it smoked and later produced much more smoke. Overall the taste was too mild for me.

"Ignore the abstract expressionist packaging."

Review Notes: I don't have much to add to what's already been said. Took a chance on these and scored a box on Cbid; it turned out to be one of my better gambles! Classy, well made, excellent burn even on a windy day. Easy draw and lots of smoke. Not a powerhouse by any means, but nonetheless far more flavorful and complex than the Gold. While my personal preference among CAOs is still the Brazilia Amazon, I have to say the this Black Frontier is CAO's best overall effort. It's hard to imagine any cigar fan not enjoying this great cigar. As for the box; yeah, it's a nice tribute to Jackson Pollock but not something I necessarily want to pay for. The paint obviously hadn't cured before the cigars were packaged and whole thing reeked of volatile organic compounds. First thing I did was remove the cigars from the box and chuck it. In all fairness, I cannot detect any residual paint smell in the cigars.
