Review Notes: This is a great smoke after a few months of age on it. When I first got them they were a little harsh but after time they really smoothed out. Nice earthy smoke with a nice spice with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper.

Review Notes: This was my first CAO Black. Have some from samplers. As with all other CAO's, looks great. This one started out really harsh but after the first inch, transformed into a great tasting cigar. Earthy, smooth, with good cedar flavors throughout. Maybe after a few more weeks the initial harshness will go away. I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a good medium cigar with a nice moderate finish.

Review Notes: these seem to have had the blend changed over the years, now much more bold and spicy than in the past. Appearance, burn, flavor, and finish are all CAO top-notch.

Review Notes: Compares very favorably with the Carlos Torano 1916 Cameroon. Nice pre-light aroma, sturdy construction, very even burn. Smooth and mellow with a hint of spice. Great stick, especially as a freebie with a CAO Black Man O' War purchase.

"Good mild cigar"

Review Notes: If you like mild cigars, then this one could be for you. The construction was generally very good and felt very sturdy. It has a nice cedar wrapper. The only negative was that there was a strange splotch (somewhat greenish about the size of a quarter inch in diameter on the cigar underneath the cedar wrapper). Prelight aroma was good. First third I kept thinking that it was very mild and reminded me of grass. I know kind of different word to describe a cigar but that's how I felt. It's super mild and smooth. 2nd third I felt the same way, it had slightly more flavor but with very mild and my port actually overpowered it a little. Not very peppery. There were a few draws during this part that were very good and those were creamy and buttery. The last third I was expecting harshness and it never came. Still smooth and mild. The burn is a medium grey ash and holds well. Overall, if you like mild you'll like this one! I personally like 'em a little spicier with more left on my palate but I'm rating this in the context of a mild cigar and keeping that in mind, it's excellent. If you like strong, this one proly ain't for you.
