"Flawed Construction"

Review Notes: I so looked forward to this cigar, part of a cigar sampler gift from wife. Dark, big. Cutting reviewed some big "twigs" in center. Dark wrapper was so very thin, and begin to unravel about 1/3 way through, as did cap. Great flavor, great aroma, but i tossed at half way as it was falling apart.

Review Notes: This smoke was very disappointing...it tasted like old coffee grinds! I got about 1.5 inches in and had to toss it because the taste was horrible.

"Another good one from CAO"

Review Notes: This big guy is smooth and consistent. It has a nice mellow maduro taste throughout. The draw is a little tight, so maybe a slightly smaller gauge would be better as alaw35 suggested. This guy is going to burn for some time, so clear your schedule.

Review Notes: I love the CAO line and thought these would be great. I looked forward to the 2X Maduro full body...not there. I looked forward to the excellent construction...pretty poor. I looked forward to the great draw...very poor. On the whole this box was a huge as in HUGE disappointment. Even after 6 months in the humi...nothing. I smoke good cigar store lax sit back and enjoy not to get pissed off over construction and draw. these are carp. Good medium taste when you get it but in general they are crap.

"Black Beauty Deelish..."

Review Notes: I've smoked a few of these and found them to be a consistent delight. They are surrounded by a gorgeous oily Broadleaf wrapper and it is comprised of four country long fillers which make this a delicious and complex smoke medium to full bodied. I found that they do best with a relative humidity percentage of 68% or even less since they are already oily. Upon lighting this beaut, I noticed hints of pepper with nuances of spicy yet chocolatey flavors. The cigar became more complex mid-way and continued to be a smooth pleasant smoke to the nub. The construction of this cigar is similar to the Saint Luis Rey Serie G which has very few veins and nicely rolled. The volumes of smoke weren't as prevalent as the G but the draw was perfect for this size. I also have had the pleasure of smoking the robusto version which was not as spicy but was as flavorful as this behemoth gem. I will be buying more boxes of these if I can get them on the cheap. Enjoy....
