"Beautiful Disappointment"

Review Notes: This is a beautiful cigar that is very well-made, too bad they didn't pay as much attention to the flavor. The Tonton starts out quite harsh for the first inch or two and improves, but at best it gets to about average flavor. This particular cigar had about 5 months in the humidor. I'll make sure to give it's big brother the Moda a longer nap.

Review Notes: I was very impressed with the packaging....A beautiful square pressed tubo. Upon lighting I found this cigar to be full body but without coplex flavor. It was right on the border of harsh but not. It had about the draw of a giant straw...............The draw was great..........If you are into strong cigars I would try one. Defininately better out there even by CAO.

Review Notes: CAO's 65th anniversary left me a little disappointed I must say. I expected more due to the fact that most CAO's I have tried have been fantastic. I found this smoke for only $7 but still would have rathered a Brazilia. Draw was a flat out 10. Burned nice, even and slow but the bottom line was that the flavor was lacking.

Review Notes: This limited edition cigar comes snuggled in a unique gold colored square tubo, packed in a serialized box. This is the first cigar that CAOís founder Cano A. Ozgener has put his face and name on. Both the box and the tubo feature his signature, and the box lid, and gilded ring have a stylized portrait of Mr. Ozgener enjoying one of his wears. The Tonton is a super premium cigar in the same category as Opus X and VSG. Itís a full body smoke with pepper and spice, but and well balanced with the creamy smooth mix of flavors reminiscent of the CAO Gold line. Itís a little more expensive than the other CAO brands, but like the Opus, this would be a nice occasional treat. Like the Gold line, this cigar is classy smoke in the traditional style, but with the uniqueness that all CAO cigars have. As such, itís equally likely to impress the cigar snobs of Cigar Aficionado, as well as the less refined Lowland Gorillas in this forum. If youíre lucky enough to find them, I recommend purchasing a few and stashing them away for a special occasion such as your daughters wedding, or your promotion to senior management, or your mother-in-law just left, or your car started this morning.
