Review Notes: Note: this is a review for the smallest size (not listed here), the Petites size. I've tried almost all of DP's and many of the Tatuajes (the label this brand sometimes is listed under), and this one is another excellent, quality Nicaraguan cigar that really is about as good as cigars you can find these days. The Cab line is somewhat milder than say, the Tatuajes but it's still pretty strong. Great pre-light aroma, nice un-Pepin like lighter Ecuadorian wrapper that tastes great; spicy and earthy filler that tastes like typical Don Pepin but I'd really have to say this could very well be his best cigar he has put out (although I havent tried the high end Tats yet). This size is small so there's really not a lot of room for any construction flaws, and can be had for just a few bucks; what a great deal.

Review Notes: I tried one of these at the shop today and couldn't get any smoke out of it. It was rolled too tight. You sometimes get one or two like that in a box. Its a shame, I had to toss it because it was a lost cause.

Review Notes: Great smoke overall. Light wrapper, with minimal veining. Medium flavored with light leather and tasted of somewhat aged tobacco. Some interesting sweet tasting notes throughout in the middle. Draw was good with lots of smoke. Similar to some aged Cubans in some ways, like an H. Upmann. Ash held firm for the most part.

Review Notes: I just smoked this stick and thought with six months of aging it could be a power house. We will see.

Review Notes: not sure about the similarities to havana puros, but this cigar has merit. nice color, triple cap, good draw but with some burn issues. noticed little tunnels in the few i have smoked. these lend to a little uneven burn. loads of smoke on these bad boys! flavors are coffee, wood and a little tongue tingling spice. the volado leaf in the filler adds the kick. ash crumbles and doesn't hold very well. medium bodied smoke that goes well with your morning cup o' joe. Pepin Garcia is truely a Master, in every sense of the word and i believe his product will continue to improve. my hope is that supply and demand will not affect quality. i'm really excited to try the other sizes and lines that Don Pepin and Pete Johnson have released. i plan on smoking several more to see if the burn issues subside. overall nice smoke with a nutty finish. well done!
