Review Notes: A marriage of strength and smoothness with perhaps a mistress named flavor. The Monarca has a very good burn and draw, even for a shorter cigar. Let's face it the Camacho Corojo line is not the most attractive cigars in the humidor. However, the compensation is you get a full flavored, smooth cigar with flavor with a price that you can't beat. Oh, and I wouldn't smoke it on an empty stomach, but that's me.

Review Notes: A good cigar with a peppery taste before the light and a good, even power throughout. A well constructed cigar, only the cap was a little rugged and the wrapper was a little brittle. Spice and earthy taste, not to be taken lightly! I wouldn't smoke this on a daily basis, but when you want something with a kick this has it.

Review Notes: This one was definately a head spinner. I am a big fan of strong cigars, but this one is STRONG. This cigar is great looking with a dark wrapper. The construction was perfect and the draw and burn were spot on for me and produced loads of smoke. Flavors of wood and pepper, with some cocoa in there. A nice spicy finish to it. I feel the flavor and the strength complimented eachother nicely. I am becomming a big fan of the Camacho line of cigars. Just head the warnings of others who reviewed this cigar... eat before smokin' it.

Review Notes: My experience with this cigar is consistent with most of the other reviewers. The Camacho Corojo is a strong cigar with a distinctive flavor. It is a nice looking, well made cigar, and the new packaging is an improvement over the old bands and boxes. It shares its filler and binder with the Camacho Havana, but this one is a Corojo 'puro' according to the manufacturer. The Havana is a little milder (but still very strong), and has a somewhat different pre-light odor. The distinctive flavor is hit-or-miss. I really like them, but one of my smoking buddies who also likes strong cigars does not care for them at all. This brand seems to benefit a lot from aging.

Review Notes: A well made attractive looking smoke. The wrapper has a dark reddish hue with minimal veining. The bunching is firm, but the foot looks like its loosely packed. Conflicting but the roll is very good, producing a nice draw with good smoke volume. The chocolate colored band with gold writing is a nice complement to the wrapper color. Prelight aroma is nothing special, not barn yard like. The initial draw is powerful nicotine and underlying spice. As with other Camachos these are power first and taste second. Its like an ERH on steroids. Smoke volume is very good and the cigar burns nicely producing a solid white ash. To me the flavor department is lacking. These are powerful nicotine cigars with little flavor or complexity. The more I try to like them, the more I get turned away. These have nothing on the DPG line in terms of flavor. As powerful as these taste, they are not harsh. There is a smoothness to the smoke, but I wish there was more earthiness or leather to accompany the nicotine. Perhaps its me and I’ve developed more appreciation for Nicaraguan tobacco, but the Honduran puro doesn’t do it for me flavor wise. Its very well made and smokes wonderfully, but I just don’t care for the taste and balance. Full bodied full strength, but I’ll pass.
