Review Notes: I didn't really enjoy this cigar, in as much as I passed the time with it. It starts out with a slap to the face earth and pepper. The spiciness fades and leaves behind that same earthy flavor with hints of coffee, but also a charry quality. It's a strong smoke, and definitely not for the new smokers out there. I found it to be uneventful and the flavor just wasn't there. I also have to jump on the burn bandwagon, as this started to tunnel during the last inch and would not self-correct. The burn was okay prior to that, but the draw was much too loose.

Review Notes: I can't believe the low numbers for this puro. This is my everyday, go to, can always count on stick. I've had copious amounts of these and not one construction problem. And if you're looking for a complex smoke, theres plenty of other higher priced guys out there. The thing I love about these IS the consistency. Plus it's a great quick smoke thats perfect for my work breaks. Guess it comes down to what you're in the mood for. When given time, a big complex smoke is my optimum choice. But when time is an issue or I want a spicy consistent cigar, this fills the bill nicely.

Review Notes: Let me say that the combination of wrapper, binder and filler in this little powerhouse rocks the phat azz. but The quality of construction almost negates it all. No doubt a small perfecto isn't easy to make (and they're a real pain to smoke without dropping them). The few from the 5-pack I won were flaky ashed and needed constant relighting to the point where I looked like a crackhead . I do plan to try the other shapes though as the flavor is as good as the Corojo line but even spicier!

Review Notes: This cigar is a perfecto shape, almost exactly like the AFH Short Story. It doesn't taste like one though. Very spicy and all-Honduran. Not overly complex; just a lot of wood and spice. Certainly a cigar for experienced smokers due to its strength. However this cigar suffers serious burn problems. Mine kept going out, had some wrapper fraying and had a poor loose ash that all point to construction flaws. I suspect the perfecto shape leads to some of these problems. In general this is not a great shape for any cigar; it's just too small to really get a good taste. Like others have said I bet the larger sizes are someone better, but in general this cigar is probably only for those that like that real sharp throat-burning sting (which I like sometimes if I'm in the mood for it) Worth a try if you like Hondurans and the Camacho Corojo.

Review Notes: Rarely do I downgrade a cigar after the initial trial (usually it's the other way especially after it's gained some humi time), but this is the exception. Two caveats: smoked this the next day after having a silky, complex Edicion de Silva the prior night so this one suffered in comparison. Also smoked the Coyolar on a windier golf course setting. But have had plenty of Camacho Corojos on the golf course that have been more pleasant than this. The flavor didn't develop to any degree, the burn got annoying at times as did the draw, and while it had its moments, they were simply too fleeting. All that was left was lingering effects of spice and a buzz from the sheer strength of this smoke. This isn't the reason we smoke cigars though is it ?
