Review Notes:
A reprise review for me from a cab I purchased with box code NJP 9/04. This robusto sports a rich, brown wrapper with minimal veins. The traditional triple cap is present. Hefty in the hand, it's construction seems excellent, with a firmness and resilience that appears spot on. Easy light. Good draw. Even burn, though required 2 relights, which may be attributable to the fact I was talking whilst I smoked it. Gray black ash. Started with white and black pepper and spice. The first third brought flavors of grass, vanilla, cocoa, and a hint of milk chocolate. The middle third saw notes of soil, berries, grass, and barnyard hay. The last third continued with the traditional Cohiba grassy flavor with a hint of plum and a mild "twang". All in all, this full bodied smoke appears to be coming along nicely. An enjoyable robusto, with the potantial to be one of the best, I would say, though, that it still needs more time to show it's true colors.....

Review Notes:
I agree in part with the overpriced comments that are expressed here but I know that these cigars are made with great care attention to perfection which makes them rare, etc. So the price might be the market pressures. Not like some forced "limited release" cigars on the market slapping huge price tags on mediocre cigars. That being said this cigar is great. I like the Lancero, and I think the Sancho Panza Belisco is a better bargin, better but I would smoke this anytime and enjoy.

Review Notes:
The entire Cohiba line is spectacular and the robusto is no exception. It might be the prettiest cigar on the planet...gorgeous wrapper with intense color...sexy bands with embossed lettering...and beautifully made. The flavor profile is complex and the finish is satisfyingly long. Spice is prominent but not overwhelming...nice balance. Overall this is a world class smoke.
Now a comment on those who rated this cigar the equivalent of a Swisher Sweet...try to be a bit more unbiased. Do you really feel that your review is an accurate representation of this smoke? A 5? A 2 for flavor (that is downright nasty on the scale). If you really feel that this cigar is of lesser overall quality than an El Rey Del Mundo...well, then I am not sure I want to read any of your reviews because you either have an axe to grind or have a palate that has been terribly distorted by a tragic crack overdose. How much a cigar costs or it's status should not impact your review...

Review Notes:
Cohiba is the one brand that has become a household name...Even in households with no cigar smokers. While the line remains consistent, and the construction is excellent; this brand is extremely overrated.
Yes, this is one smoker's humble opinion; but it comes after smoking many different sizes over the span of 15 years. It's just not as good as the hype that precedes it.
This includes the Robusto. Nothing is spared in it's beautiful presentation...Varnished slide lid box, beautiful rings (though I prefer the original), and nice wrappers with good sheen.
It better have all that, considering it is THE most expensive Cuban robusto on the market.
It's not a terrible cigar, but it just doesn't seem to have the complexity that such a celebrated cigar should; despite the cost. There is a basic core of tobacco tastes, some earthy qualities, and a salty finish. Very ordinary, and does not compare to such great robustos as those from El Rey Del Mundo, Ramone Allones, or Saint Luis Rey; which are all complex in taste....And literally half the cost or less.
For obvious reasons, this is also one of the most counterfeited cigars, so newcomers beware.

Review Notes:
Smoked a CoRo that was fairly fresh. It had a pleasant but "young" taste to it. Burned and drew nicely, just kind of flat and one-dimensional. I hope to try one with age in the near future, and will add another review when I do.
