Review Notes:
Naturally I was very pleased with this cigar, great flavor, no harshness, steady even burn, never ran hopt even down to the nub. However, I was expecting a little more flavor given the name and brand than the mild tone this had

Review Notes:
I suppose those who have smoked authentic Cuban Cohiba's would agree that Cohiba have a very distinct taste that makes them truely unique. Recently, a friend picked up two Sligo V's for me while on a cruise (unreal expensive). Both came with their own box/sleeve, which is a nice feature. Both are rolled fairly tight with smooth, dark wrappers. I have tried most sizes of the Cuban Cohiba, with varying results. They are ALWAYS hit or miss because there is no quality control for Cuban Cigars like you'd get from, say, Rocky Patel. This can be frustrating if you pay $15 or more for each of these babies. The mere fact that they are CUBAN COHIBAS means that they are worth more flawed than as seconds. Anyway, the first of two Sligo V's was fairly unremarkable on lightup. As it built, it got creamy and rich, then...baaaaam... the unique Cohiba flavor came through. Ahhhhhh!!! This is what smoking a Cohiba is all about!!!! However, this particular cigar did not smoke like a dream like many Cohiba's have for me. It had to be relit several times, was rolled way too tight, ran as it went down, and it was pretty tough to draw on. Persevering as I am, I nubbed it. Cohiba tobacco is what makes these cigars such an experience, but the size is what makes them a dream. This size was not a dream. A Cohiba Robusto tends to be more consistent and with loads more smoke. That is a masterpiece smoke, this is not. I don't see myself spending the cash on this size anytime soon. As for the second Sligo V...we'll age it and report back after a while.

Review Notes:
Probably my favorite "fresher" Siglo right behind the Sig II Tubos. Good woody flavors without as much of the "grassiness" that fresh Cohibas usually exhibit. Great burn and draw, not much complexity yet (it was an '07), but I am guessing these will continue to age into some stellar smokes.

Review Notes:
This was my first V, and it took forever for the flavor to come out. Not very Cohibaish. It probably needed to be aged more, but nevertheless. Once the first quarter was complete, the silky smooth cream with the right mix of spice permeated through this top tier stick. The burn was perfect all the way through and if it wasn't for the initial lack of flavor I would have given it a perfect 10.
