Review Notes:
I must just not care for General cigars, because there hasn't been one I've liked so far that I can remember. This is just another on that list. It had no dominant smell, which is surprising for something this dark. There was nothing extra, or vigoroso about this cigar. Very bland, just tasted like burnt dry tobacco. had to constantly luck my lips because the feel of the cigar on my mouth was like a dry popsicle stick. Construction was good, draw and burn were good too, flavor was seriously lacking. Should have put it out after the first inch but powered through to see if it got better. It never did. I've had better $3 cigars. You can such great cigars at this price point, this really falls short of even being a solid smoke at any price.

Review Notes:
Great tasting cigar. However, I have encountered a problem with its construction a few times, specifically it was rolled too tight causing a very tough/unsmokeable draw.

Review Notes:
Cohiba cigars are one of the most recognizable names in the cigar world, yet the company produces either fantastic cigars, or they use their label on a sub-par cigar. This cigar finally broke middle ground for me. The wrapper looked fantastic without a single blemish. Used the V-cut. Unfortunately the draw was too tight, and it did affect the whole experience. Pre light smelled great, this is one of those cigars that other people enjoy being around. Started out with a red pepper taste that quickly went away. Then a leathery taste that lasted towards the end. mild/medium flavor. I would smoke one of these for free, but I doubt I'll ever pay for one again. A solid C+.

Review Notes:
A friend pointed out that I had been particularly harsh regarding my reviews of Cohiba products. I'm trying to be more positive. My main problem with an ultra-premium cigar like this is the cost. If I'm going to pay $10 a stick and up then I'm expecting much more for my money. This Cohiba was dark, smelled great, and cut easily with a firm draw. There was a noticeable pepper taste that disappeared after an inch was burned. The burn was very good and never needed a touch-up. The initial pepper taste was appealing however it turned into a fairly average tobacco taste quickly. Not much depth of flavor, a medium bodied, nice burning stick that was nothing to write home about. My specimen had about six months of age on it. Maybe I need to try it while it is fresh instead of allowing the stick to mature with age.

Review Notes:
I smoked this stick while reading George Orwell's "1984." It was almost musty. The construction was good, the burn was good, and the light was good. The flavor tasted like stale laundry.
