Review Notes:
Do you remember the time after vowing to NEVER smoke the very last 1/3 of a fine cigar, you found yourself down near the nub and were surprised that a great draw and taste still remained? Ok, now forget it. You are not likely to have this experience with the Consuegra moduro, I bought a bundle of 25 for about $34 and the first one had a sloppy draw, tasted a bit harsh, smelled like a cheap short filler machine made, and the cap and a bit of wrapper started to unravel early in the smoke. I figured, hey, a fluke. Tried two more and each one of them ( I used different cutters just in case) had loose cap pieces and immediately had some hot spots causing the wrapper to slightly unfold and unravel. I am now on the fourth one and as one reviewer noted, a sort of OK low priced walking around the woods cigar because almost intolerable after not even a half, but perhaps after smoking 35-50%. I am not a fancy guy and I don't mind a low price "Cuban Sandwich Shop" cigar that you used to pick up at the cashier's counter for a buck or so, but the Consuegra and its seconds are sometimes touted as a great, great cigar available at a sub-bargain price. I got what I paid for. I will smoke them. I will slightly enjoy the first part of the smoke and then ditch it. In short it is noto the fault of the manufacturer. I got precisely what I paid for. No more, no less.

Review Notes:
I've had two of these (another in the humidor). The first was pretty ugly looking, with splotches in the wrapper. Draw was good, flavor was a bit weak at first, but excellent. Smooth taste, somewhat buttery, pleasent, with a winey aftertaste. Might go really well with an expensive brandy. Plenty of smoke with a purfumey aroma. Filler ash was bleach-white, while binder/wrapper ash was darker. Construction is pretty good.
The second cigar had too easy of a draw - mainly because of a pronounced vein in the center of the stick - didn't really affect flavor, though it did smoke a bit hot. Same flavor, though it was stronger about 1/2 way through the stick, bordering on bitter.
The ash was amazing. On both, the ash holds together well - I stopped measuring after 2 1/2 inches.
It's obvious that there will be peaks and valleys with a bundles of these sticks. If you can live with that, then they're an excellent buy. Overall, the flavor is quite good.

Review Notes:
I smoke these whilst walking the dog in the woods, lasts nearly the entire 1.3 hour trek too. If you have a similar reason to have a cigar in hand, these are decent. All but 2 burned nicely to the nub. One was hollow/light useless draw, and another burned inconsistently. So 22 were OK for the task at hand, fast-walking a dog in the woods. Just ordered a 2nd bundle, and will update if they are inferior to my 1st bundle.

Review Notes:
Bought a bundle of these with great anticipation. When I opened the bundle I found great looking giants in nice dark wrappers. taste was pretty good but the draw felt hollow. I never completely enjoyed smoking this one because of the terrible construction and hot burn.
