Review Notes: a killa smoke. clear the room as it will fill up fast with billowing smoke and aromas. peppery, and leathery to the nub. they roll em tight as can be but still has great draw. exceptional consruction. got lucky 5 pack at auction got em cheap. but worth the money if retail. do it!!

Review Notes: Looks like shunter35 and I have a purchase in common. I actually found this a very delightful medium bodied smoke. Great looks, construction, draw, burn and taste. Has nowhere near the intensity of a San Cristobal, Tatuaje Havana VI, or Padilla 1932. So you "mild to medium" smokers, don't be afraid to try these.

"Complex and Powerful"

Review Notes: Well made, nice looking golden brown wrapper. The 7x54 size is my favorite. Good draw, even burn, lots of smoke. Nice aroma. The flavor is pretty complex as it's nutty, spicy and creamy all at one time or another. Full bodied though as I struggled a bit to get up from the couch from where I had been smoking this cigar for the past 75-90 mins. or so. Looking forward to smoking another one again.

"Phat schtick"

Review Notes: after reading all of the hubub in CA I bought a 6 cigar sampler of these from Holts (2 of each size) like the sheep that I am. I smoked a Churchill first and was disappointed. Let them sit in the huni for a few more months. I must admit that this puppy was a big fat pleasure. Not very strong, but certainly not weak. Definitely an underlying caramel flavor and some spice. A lot of character - very interesting. Beautiful too and very well made...La Flor is making some serious cigars, even giving Cuba a run for it's money.

"(mostly) lives up to the hype"

Review Notes: Oily and smooth with an impeccable build. The draw and burn are perfect. I didn't find this one to be as strong as Adam did. Full-flavored, certainly, but medium in strength. Smoked cool right to the end with little change in the flavor. Complex, but with an soft texture. Pains me to say it, but CA's year-end review of this one is about right -- leather, caramel and a tiny bit of spice that I couldn't quite pin down. Great balance. 7x54 is a chore for me to smoke on a regular basis, but this is a top-shelf production that largely lives up to the hype. The #2 cigar of the year? Probably not. But close enough that you should plunk down your $8 and give it a shot.
