Review Notes: I rate by flavor. Cubao has the distinction of the best cigar I smoked, but only 1 was that good after aging a year in the humi, the rest do rate a 9+ but they do need a few months in the humi to mature. xlnt DPG start, 1st, 2nd and last 3rd are rate great in flavor, DPG style. Great is a 9+, to me means top 10% of 150 brands smoked. congratulations to EO!

Review Notes: Feels light in the hand, but it's packed full of chocolate, leather and a sweet spice that I like a lot. Cubao has a different taste profile than the other DBG cigars I've tryed. It's also more of a medium bodied smoke. I paired it with a Fuller's ESB and the No.5 didn't overpower the subtle caramel malts and slightly bitter hops of the beer. I've smoked quite a few No. 5's and all have had very good construction and a slow even burn despite their lightness in the hand. Right now I have a beautiful 2" white ash contrasting the chocolate-colored wrapper. Others have described the taste as earthy, but I find no earthy tastes at all. The spicy sweetness against the semi-sweet chocolate is what makes this such an outstanding cigar, in my opinion.

Review Notes: This will become a go to for me. Don't know why I was so surised, Garcia is a genius and I think this is one of his better blends. Begins with deep balanced character of chocolate, leather, nuts, and spice. The spice devolops and becomes more rich and creamy. Medium-full and quite complex, kept my interst with every draw. Construction is flawless and it didn't become bitter until it was almost burning my fingers.

Review Notes: Recommended by the tobacconist at a new cigar shop. A little steep in price but he threw in a Kristoff, so fair enough. Good construction, nice burn, great draw; medium to full bodied. Toasty and earthy with some chocolate notes. All was well, but the finish was just a little bitter. Didn't nub it. I'll try few more. Didn't know it was a DPG; what isn't anymore?
