Review Notes:
Nice rough wrapper. Nose of tea and chocolate. Some graham cracker. A lot of rich smoke. Start was spicy cookie, but creamy all the way through. Maybe it was the aging, but this was a great smoke.

Review Notes:
OK. I'm relatively new to the game. In the last year, I've smoked a lot of cigars from mild to full. I enjoy them all, but I'm partial to the mild to meduim range. I am also a maduro fan. This is the first cigar I've really rated, because it deserves it.
Now - I bought one at BevMo for $5.99. (You can get better on the net, but even this price is great.) Rated anywhere from 88-91. This cigar did not dissapoint. Nose was a nice black tea with chocolate, with some graham cracker residual. Construction had a lot of character. Nice rough maduro wrapper.
This was a rich mild smoke (are these contradictory?) but creamy all the way through. Big puffy billows of smoke throughout. Went out a few times, but BFD.
Start was a spicy cookie with some rich egg all the way through. Had it with a nice old Pinot and some dark chocolate. (of the three, I would ditch the chocolate). This is going to be near the top of my list. Smoke didn't have a lot of distinctive characteristics, but it was just a great mild smoke all the way through. Burned my fingers at the end. Couldn't put it down.
These are aged 18 years and it shows. I stored it in my cellar for about a month, but I don't think it really needed it.
I won't be so bold as to claim I've reached cigar Mecca, but for now, this is one of my go to cigars.
If you're a mild to medium smoker, look no further.
I wish I had another. I'd go out and have one now. I'm buying a box or two.
I've noticed that full cigar lovers pan mild cigars and vice versa. Take it from a mild maduro lover - this can't be beat.

Review Notes:
Another cigar that touts tobacco aged many years. Which I've learned is no guarentee of a fine stick. This cigar had good complexity, which was the problem. It started a little harsh as many cigars do, but about midway it struck gold, with a very nice sweetness. However that flavor was fleeting and after an inch or so it changed to something (???) not so pleasant. Plus this maduro had very few maduro flavors like cocoa or chocolate, just the sweetness. My wife liked this cigar, but except for an inch or so in the middle it was average. The burn was off a little and I had to touch it up a few times. For four bucks we can do better, like the 5 Vegas "A" Series.

Review Notes:
As the 2 below me said this thing is just leaves you wondering what happened. I am fairly new to cigars but have a few good teachers. I tend to smoke this 5x5 size or near. I like medium to full bodied smooth cigars. Padron 1926, greycliff espresso on a rare ocassion, torano exodus 1959 etc.
This cigar looked great and was constructed well with a good draw and lots of smoke, very good burn. However while it was pretty smooth there was just no flavor and found it to be medium mild. I put it down about 1/4 through and decided to go grab an exodus as it was just boring . Then decided I would finish it. I should have left it.
Two cigars at the same price point that beat this gar hands down are C torano's Exodus 1959 Robusto and Oliva's serie G perfecto.
Friends dont let friends smoke dog rockets. This is one do yourself a favor and smoke the other 2 if you have not. I gave it a 4 for value because at the same price point there is so much better out there.

Review Notes:
Jermball's review is right on. I love maduros and was looking forward to trying this cigar. It was nearly flavorless. Cigarette smokers might like it. The construction, burn and appearance were ok, there was just no flavor. Halfway through I put it down for good and lit up a 5 Vegas Series A to check my palate. The 5 Vegas was much much better.
