Review Notes:
My lable was slightly different so I am not sure if the Cusano Corojo 1997 label I am reviewing is the exact same as in the picture, available on the manufacturer's page on this database, but I'll assume it is. When I first looked over this cigar, before I ever decided to smoke it, I was a bit worried about the ammonia like smell to it. Both the wrapper and foot of the cigar gave off the distinct sent. When I actually decided to smoke the Corojo, I dried boxed it for about 12 hours and the prevalent ammonia sent faded away. The over all flavors were mild but pleasant. If it was not a misspelling of peppery, I agree completely with the reviewer density that this cigar has a pApery taste to it, almost like cardboard. What really won me over with this cigar was its texture. I never really understood, or experienced, what many reviewers describe as a velvety texture of a cigar's smoke. After smoking this cigar I completely understood and appreciated how a cigar can stimulate the sense of texture on one's palate. Although there was nothing significantly great about its flavor, this cigar is worth a try simply for its thick, billowy, velvety texture. My only major complaint is that the cigar harshed up at its last quarter, tasting heavily like ash.

Review Notes:
Good medium smoke for the price. Flavor was ok, not too crazy about the spicyness. Construction and draw were perfect. Solid light gray ash. Picked it up for $4.95 at local B&M, would recommend it at the $2-3 price point. On a side note, the band is hideous, that's the only reason I didn't pick it up for so long.

Review Notes:
aged 18 months-appearance--good color, nearly veinless.had a few stretch marks where the tobacco was stretched when it was rolled.-construction--one of the most even burns ive ever seen.great draw too.-flavor--very spicy.it burned my tongue.not as good flavor wise as i had before.but it could be what i ate.so dont let that discourage you from trying this great cigar.-value--worth it.-overall--overall better construction than the first time i smoked this one,but the flavor was hard to depict because of the spiciness up front.

Review Notes:
I love these because they have some nut and wood flavors with a touch of pepper in the finish. A cigar that can be smoked until it hurts. Be sure to get a batch that is in good shape, though, once they get too moist they have that nasty ammonia taste to them.

Review Notes:
Got a box of these from a Cusano store event a few months back. The cigar has a nice reddish-brown wrapper and a colorful band. It smokes reliably as the draw and burn are always good; just gets spongy towards the end, and the wrapper always cracks when the band is peeled off. It's toasty and woody with a spiciness to it that's not overwhelming, but there's also a slight papery taste that keeps this cigar from being really great. Still a good cigar at a good price, by the box or as singles.
