Review Notes:
Wish they tasted as good as they looked. Take off the band and they might pass as something much more expensive, but the taste, thus far for me, is very young. Even after a little age they don't change much--definitely better, but none of the flavor intricacies of the big boys like Fuente, Punch or El Rey and the like. But hey, for a buck? I mean even the Punch Maduro Rothschile, which is one of the cheaper good ones, still costs three of these or more. So if money isn't a thing to you, NEVER buy these, but if you want a semi-decent robusto for a buck? try out a ten pack at Wal Mart. Oh, one more thing--maybe i'm lucky, but the ones i've smoked so far have had a nice white-ish ash and burned pretty well.

Review Notes:
Well, I got through all but one of the Don Julios, and I must say I was a little too kind on my last review. I have smoked 6 of the 10, given away 3, and have one left that I will give away to a friend. Looking back, 2 out of the 6 were enjoyable, decent cigars, but the other 4 down right sucked. They tasted bitter, smoked terribly, fell apart, tasted like chemicals, and all around were crap. I won't be buying any more Don Julios, especially with a humidor full of Cohiba DRs and Vega Xs. These were a spur of the moment purchase, but there's better ways to spend stogie money then on these cheapos.

Review Notes:
I got a 10 pack of Julios Churchills at WalMart on a whim, figuring to use them as humidor filler for when the friends came over. I have smoked four of them myself, with mixed results. They come plastic wrapped and are pretty dry, so humidor time is a must. They look very nice, with a medium dark wrapper and decent weight. They smell very nice, and would appear to be a good smoke. Once they were ready to go, I let them out to be smoked, and had a few myself. Two of them have been excellent, with great mild flavor, even and consistent burning, and an overall enjoyable experience lasting over an hour that rivals some of the 10.00 cigars I have had. The other two, however, have been very bad. One tasted like crap, and I chucked it after a few minutes. The other fell apart in my hands after a few minutes and was rendered unsmokeable. For the money I paid, I can't complain, because I got two good smokes out of it, and there's four left in my humidor for later. Overall, for people with low cash or people who hit up your stash, grab a pack to get you by, or if you want a cheap anytime smoke to have around, but don't expect great things from the Dons, they seem very hit or miss.
