Review Notes:
To Dr. Wu...I just received a cabinet of 50 from the same batch you got your box from. I agree with you, this is one UNDERRATED smoke! They have this reputation for being so mild, almost bland they're so light, and I wish to dispell that rumor right now. The cab I got, SXF-MAY.05, has some of the darkest wrappers I've ever seen on Habanos, even including some of the Edicion Limitadas...I've had a few dress boxes of 25 in the past 18 mnths, and they have a kind of "rough" look about them, but who cares? The proof is when you lit one up, and let the cigar take you through it's stages. The oily wrapper adds to the general nice feeling in hand, and I, for one, happen to love the size. I love Robustos, too, but something about these Hermosos No. 4 that make them seem a perfect size and ring (48 X 5.0) The tastes are not only pronounced and awesome, but in oerfect compliment to each other. Very spicy, peppery and woody, with coffee and chocolate notes as well. The finish is woody and long, but I can't decide if it's cedar or what. This cigar is one of those hidden gems that offer great value and strong character. I would hearttily encourage anyone to try to find a cabinet of these, especially from this batch. It's recent enough that their are probably many dealers that have them in stock. I know that my supplier, Top Cubans in Switzerland have them, and more than a few cabs as well.
