Review Notes: I've only smoked a handful from the box I bought and by the comments of others, I guess I'll let them age a few months before passing judgment. My first impression however is that you had better have some time set aside for this one. 2 to 2 1/2 hours is how much time each stick lasted for me, 20 minutes before I flicked my first ash. Nice flavor, but not as strong as I've seen advertised, maybe that will change after I finish a box or two.

Review Notes: This is the after-dinner smoke for those who think the JdN Antanos is a breakfast smoke. Nice months since my last one, and they're still improving. Starts with a blast of clove that dissipates quickly. The base flavor seems woodier now, but the other, more interesting flavors (see review below) remain without the overwhelming black pepper. Don't get me wrong -- this is still a VERY powerful stick. But it comes into balance a little more each time I try one.

Review Notes: After better than two years in the humi, this thing is still a brute. Maybe the strongest cigar I've ever smoked. The first third is the star of the show. Rich and complex, with dark chocolate, coffee and, as its name suggests, pepper. By halfway, that complexity gives way to -- you guessed it -- more pepper. This thing will smack you around, singe your nosehairs and make you ears ring. Keep a tall glass of something cold nearby. On balance, it's a little much for me, but it certainly doesn't lack character. The good news is that in a couple more years, this behemoth might be just right. Meanwhile, I might hand some out to unsuspecting newbies to satisfy my sadistic side.

Review Notes: My father in law sniffed this stick and said this is a good one. He doesn't smoke, but has an excellent nose for good cigars. About an hour and thirthy minutes later, I told him he was right on target with his assessment of this cigar. The flavor was very smooth, with some sweetness and alot of spice. The finish is very spicey. Construction was good, although the burn was off about halfway through the smoke. Shortly past half, the stick self corrected and presented no further problems. The draw was easy and this stick held an ash for over two inches. I only had one of these, but will be buying more very soon.

Review Notes: Further to my first comment below, I have smoked several other ELHGHD(M). I have to admit that every time they get better. I have put all of them in the same humidor, all alone, and the last I smoked a week ago, while watching at the TV the match between PSV Eindhoven and AC Milan, was excellent. All what I wrote below is still perfectly valid, with the added bonus that all the flavours blend now together very smoothly and have got depth, making it a great smoke, if distinctly non cuban. The cigar lasted all the time of the match, including the break, plus another 20 minutes, which makes for more than two hours. Surely not an after lunch thing....Value is colossal, such it was when I bought it and it's even more so now....
