Review Notes: This is my favorite smoke so I may be a little biased. A solidly built cigar that burns even and cool. I love the Cameroon wrapper and the mix of long filler provides a perfect flavor. Just the right amount of spice. You must try this cigar if you haven't.

Review Notes: Construction was good, burn was good, draw was a little tight for nearly the entire cigar, but this thing was a major disappointment in the flavor department. Mostly bitter, very very faint hints of cocoa nibs but for the most part it was simply a bad cigar. It certainly wasn't full flavored, it really had almost no flavor and the minor tastes I got were unpleasant. Unfortunately I was gifted this very long vitola and felt it was an obligation to give it my full attention. I wanted to put it out after 1", and should have. This had more than 2 years of age on it which means there is no room for improvement in my book. It's from General, which seem to be experts on flavorless cigars. As you might expect with a Cameroon wrapper, it was very thin and just looking at it wrong caused pieces to flake off. On such a long cigar, it left a lot of surface area to get damaged. Never affected burn, certainly never made it taste any better, but just another inconvenience. My girlfriend was enjoying her own Cameroon wrapped Oliva G, which is half the price, construction in equal or better, and 10 times the flavor and value. This is just another General brand to add to the "never to try again list".

Review Notes: NICE Cigar! Wonderful flavors of coffee with peppery finish bracketing a solid construction and body. If there was one drawback to the Lancelot is that it was not the smoke of choice for near-freezing weather out of doors. The Hoyo is just a serious cigar. I am not a fan of General as a company, but they do make some nice product with a few of their lines. Hoyo is in the top 2 IMO. I like the Maduro better than the Cameroon lines as a rule, but in truth I'm afraid the Lancelot might have been overpowering in a Maduro. Either way the Lancelot is a distinctly warm weather smoke so that one can actually enjoy the environment in which they will be a committed part for the duration of the cigar. Spring and Fall sir, Spring and Fall.

Review Notes: This cigar burned beautifully. Started mild, got a good full flavor about one inch into it, finished peppery. Finish doesn't last real long, just the way I like it. Draw a bit tight, but still produced a great volume of smoke. Burned beautifully for an hour and a half and still tasted great.
