Review Notes: These did not live up to expectations. I've had about 12 so far, age range new to 1 year, and they have a rough aftertaste still. Glad I got them on sale at auction; not worth full price.

"A good smoke"

Review Notes: Pre-smoke: Unique and gorgeous paper wrapping. Wrapper was rough, but in a good way. Construction was top notch. Pre-light smell was a little peppery and the draw had tastes of black licorice and apricot. Smoke: Cut it with my new Tat cutter I got at the event yesterday and lit it with my trusty Blazer torch. Draw was smooth and gave me a good amount of smoke on each puff. Burn started very poorly with bad flagging in one place. I needed to touch it up 4 times until the halfway point when it finally evened out. Ash was a nice light grey, but was flaky. Slight nutty taste, but full of that good "cigar" flavor. Very little taste of pepper. Cigar started out medium and ended Medium-Full. I got a nice little nic buzz from it. I had to re-light it with about 1 1/2 inches left, but I really wanted to nub this smoke because it was good enough to. Not harsh or hot. Overall, I gave it a 7 out of 10. I have a few smaller Exiles that I feel will pack more "punch" and I'm looking forward to trying.

"Third Time is a Charm"

Review Notes: This is the Third in the exile line that I have tried. While I don't have the same rave as the previous review, I do agree with most of it. Great construction, nice nutty taste, good burn. My only exception is that for my taste it is more a medium smoke but very good with lots of flavor. Again as I have said in other reviews of this line you need to get over the chump factor of buying the fake knock off. That's said, wear dark glasses when you go to pay for it so they dont recognize you. It will be worth the effort and redicule from your friends. You may even get the last laugh. Unless you paid MSRP in which case they saw the chump coming and it was you.

"Exile"

Review Notes: Very good smoke. Surprised me a lot. Dense cigar with tight wrapping. Very heavy duty. Well built and won't fall apart on you. The wrapper was dark, almost black, with a texture like frog skin. The flavor was similar to that of a Rocky Patel vintage. Nutty and rich. Very bold and flavorful. Only drawbacks: the cigar was difficult to keep lit once I reached the halfway point in the smoke, and the ash produced is much more delicate and sensitive than in most of the other cigars I have tried. The hot ash fell into my lap long before I was ready to use an ash-tray. This has never happened to me before, but here it happened to me twice. Burned quite a lot the second time. So I guess I would reccomend keeping an ash-tray NEAR-BY if you are going to be smoking this one! Really good cigar though. Don't pass it up.
