Review Notes: This was a one off from a sampler I got about 18 months ago. I haven't had a morning opportunity to enjoy a mild cigar for quite a while, and this one has been waiting patiently at the top of the Mild queue and was called up today. Beautiful looking butterscotch wrapper wrapped around some decent sweet sweet tobacco. I gave it a conservative angle cut and lit it up. Burned straighter and cleaner than any other cigar I can recall. Creamy leather flavor that evolved into some delightful spice. Not paradigm shifting, change your politics good by any stretch, but decent. Wish I had another one to place at the bottom of the Mild queue.

"Earthy specimen"

Review Notes: I usually don't say too much about appearance, but I received two horrible looking Dominicanas - one had a green tinted wrapper and the other looked like the wrapper was dropped on the floor, stepped on, picked up and then used. A cigar manufacturer with higher standards would not have let these out of the factory. Anyways, I have smoked a few of these besides the two described above - despite the sometimes off appearance, construction was okay. Taste wise I would say this is a perfect example of a 'earthy" cigar. Unfortunately for me it is not a flavor profile I especially enjoy and their is little to no complexity to the cigar. This is a yard gar for me, I'll smoke again, but it won't be the main task at hand.

"A very good mild cigar"

Review Notes: I also got these in a sampler pack. These are a great mild cigar. Perfect construction and draw. Lots of smoke with a mild flavor. Some mild cigars are pretty bland but not this one. I would get these again. These are much better than a Monticristo and a lot cheaper. I wasn't crazy about the torpedo shape so I am planning on tryong some other cigars in this line. If you like a mild one once in a while, try one of these.

"Good morning"

Review Notes: I won a sampler pack that contained Gurkha, Perdomo Estate, Purios and several other high profile smokes but this was by far my favorite. I then picked up a box on special. Fresh out of the box they are a bit too earthy but after 6 weeks of rest the earthiness settles down and a nice creamy sweetness with a bit of pepper comes forth. Construction-wise they have a tendency of burning hot due to the looseness of its roll but as long as you allow for that you will have a great experience. A perfect morning stick with a strong cup of coffee. A word of advice, stay far away from the "BOA" shape in this series. It's just plain bad.
