"Very Nice Wrapper!"

Review Notes: First, since 2002, this cigar is totally hand made, but uses short filler. It is NOT currently machine made like many reviews state. That being said, the appearance and presentation of this cigar is top shelf. The wrapper is velvety, better the the crude but luscious JLP. Cost is slightly more than the JLP, but the appearance is well worth the extra 50 cents a stick. Quite mild down to the final 1 1/2 inches of the stick at which point it is not worth nubbing IMHO. I liked it.

Review Notes: Going against the most opinion of books and friends, I bought this little cigar intrigued above all by the price. Stripped of the soft white paper, the cigar hasn't a great presence, and appears not to have a nice construction. the smell is not bad, a bit spicy raw....Once light up comes the "surprise"....a very good round vegetal taste.....unfortunately is a short taste, replaced by the second third by notes as normal with no surprises...Final too acid forced to turn off early ..... Good persistence after smoke. A surprise for what you pay .....

Review Notes: I picked up a box from April '06 and have let most of them age in my humidor. When I first purchased them in the fall of '07 I enjoyed a few then. Now in November of '07 I have a nice little treasure on my hands (especially since I live in the U.S.) For a small cigar it really packs a lot of flavor. Since I haven't had a lot of Cuban cigars in this size I can't compare it to anything else. It is very creamy, nutty, and a nice subtle natural sweetness. This is a nice morning or afternoon smoke, before your big meal for the day. I'm looking forward to seeing how these develop...

"Smooth and mild"

Review Notes: Picked up a few of these in Beijing because they were "on sale" at La Casa Del Habano ($8 each - cigars are not cheap in China). My 2 friends and I agreed that they were great cigars. Sitting by the lake at Hou Hai, having a Tsing Tao and smoking a Fonseca Delicias was one of the highlights of our trip. Mild, smooth, creamy, nutty are all words we used to describe our experience. We had another the next night at Sanlitun and it was just as good as the first. Appearance was not the best, but out of the 6 cigars we had those 2 days, no one experienced any burn or unraveling issues. I see you can get these a lot cheaper at COH which makes them an incredible deal.
